PAINTING TENNESSEE: KRISTIN AND SCOTT BRING ARTS, OPTIMISM, CREATIVITY THROUGH MURALS

An artist goes up the ladder and makes a wall come alive via paint, brush strokes and creativity. When the mural is ready, it fascinates and engages passersby, who admire and appreciate this art piece, framed by buildings, nature and the sky.
Kristin Luna, and her husband, Scott van Velsor, bring imagination, beauty and optimism to Tennessee communities through murals that transform the environment, generate interest and start conversations. The couple’s passion for restoring homes, bringing arts to communities, and telling inspiring stories resulted in completing numerous mural projects throughout Tennessee. Tourism marketing has been the primary focus of Kristin and Scott for the last 10 years. Prior to that, Scott was a painting contractor, restoring high-end historic homes in his hometown of San Francisco. Kristin has worked as a journalist for 20 years.
