Itinerary

DAY 1: Join trip in Santana, a beautiful village on the north coast.

DAY 2: Scenic coastal walk along the Vereda do Larano to Porto da Cruz.

DAY 3: Walk through UNESCO Laurisilva forest to Faja do Penedo. Overnight at Porto Moniz on the north coast.

DAY 4: Follow Levada do Alecrim from Rabaçal to Risco Waterfall.

DAY 5: Visit the westernmost tip of the island. Levada Nova valley walk.

DAY 6: Explore the streets of Funchal. Opportunity to go whale and dolphin spotting, wine tasting or visit Madeira Botanical Garden.

DAY 7: Walk from Pico Arieiro via part of the Balcony Walk to the summit of Pico Ruivo (1,862m).

DAY 8: Trip ends in Funchal.
