Itinerary

DAY 1: Join trip in Moshi, a country town with great views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

DAY 2: Ascend on a trail through beautiful rainforest from Lemosho Glades to Big Tree Camp (2,780m).

DAY 3: Hike across wild heath to the camp at Shira One (3,500m) enjoying views of Mount Meru.

DAY 4: Trek below the ice fields of Kibo to our campsite at Shira Two (3,900m).

DAY 5: Cross volcanic landscapes to the Lava Tower before the descent to Barranco Valley (3,960m).

DAY 6: Climb the Barranco Wall before reaching our camp in the Karanga Valley (4,035m).

DAY 7: Hike across a barren lunar-like landscape to our camp at Barafu (4,640m).

DAY 8: Trek to the summit at Uhuru Peak (5,895m) before the long descent to Millenium Camp (3,790m).

DAY 9: Return to verdant forest where the trek ends at Mweka Gate (1,630m) before driving back to Moshi.

DAY 10: Opportunity to take an optional game drive in the morning before the trip ends in Moshi.
