Central Brevard Art Association Art Show

The Central Brevard Art Association is presenting its annual Art Show and Sale at the Cape Canaveral Public Library showcasing the unique talents of local artists. Dozens of local artists will be displaying and selling a variety of original fine art and prints, photography, jewelry, silks, clay, wood, sculpture, mixed media and much more! Gift Baskets will be raffled with 100% going to the CBAA scholarship fund. The Cape Canaveral Public Library is located at 201 Polk Avenue, Cape Canaveral. Admission is free. Show hours are Friday and Saturday, February 8th and 9th, 9 AM to 5 PM; and Sunday, February 10, 12 PM to 4PM. CBAA is a not-for-profit organization of local artists serving Brevard County for over 58 years. CBAA was created to promote community appreciation of visual arts, provide educational opportunities in visual arts to the local community and support our members through education, instruction, encouragement and promotion. Through community support, CBAA also provides an annual scholarship award to a local graduating high school senior who wishes to pursue a college education in art and sponsors a scholarship at Eastern Florida State College for students pursuing the arts. Rummage Sale

The First United Methodist Church of Cocoa Beach will hold it’s annual Rummage Sale on Friday, February 8th from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and on Saturday, February 9th from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. Homemade cookies will also be sold, as well as lunch at a minimal price. The church is located at 3300 N. Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach, FL 32931.

“Highways and Byways” Exhibit Opens at Studios of Cocoa Beach

The Studios of Cocoa Beach, 165 Minuteman Causeway in downtown Cocoa Beach has challenged nine guest artists to create works featuring roads, alleys, vintage roadside attractions and unusual perspectives on travel. Participating artists include Russ Wheatley, Lyssa Bowen, Jim Kalupa, Rose Scholder, Heather Kelly, Hassan Patterson, Alex Stankiewicz, Grace Amore Savage, and Florida Highway Men Historic Artist AJ Brown. The exhibit will be on display daily from January 25 through March 18 at the Studios of Cocoa Beach. This non-profit, co-op gallery presents the work of 30 local artists and offers workshops and classes for adults and children in a variety of techniques. The Studio is open Monday and Tuesday 10:30am-3:30 pm, Wednesday through Saturday 10:30 am-8pm and Sunday 11 am to 4 pm.
