There are few other 1.9 square mile communities that offer a repertoire of recreational programs the way Cape Canaveral does. We may be small, but we are mighty and the City is blessed with inviting parks, greenspace and beaches that welcome residents looking to relax, exercise and enjoy a range of recreational activities. With the ball already rolling into 2021, the City is making it even easier for our residents and seasonal visitors to find fun, healthy activities to get moving.

JOIN THE MAYORS’ FITNESS CHALLENGE

Team Cape Canaveral is looking to defend its title of “Most Fit City” in the 2021 Health First Mayors’ Fitness Challenge. There will be a virtual kick-off event on Saturday, February 7th at 9:00 a.m. where all team members have the ability to login and participate. While COVID-19 will inevitably make this year’s challenge a little different, #TeamCapeCanaveral has you covered with plenty of opportunities for team members to stay active and safe with virtual events and classes, and of course, our many great outdoor spaces.

NEW ONLINE ACTIVITY REGISTRATION!

Registration for leagues, events and programs, even reserving a park pavilion is now easier than ever! The City offers adult athletic leagues for racquetball, tennis, pickleball and kickball – and we’re always recruiting new players for future leagues. Even if you are new to a sport or looking to up your game, all skill levels are welcome here and Leisure Services has a program that will be perfect for you!

KICKBALL IS FOR GROWN UPS

Who said kickball is just for kids?! Registration is open for the spring season of our Adult Co-ed Kickball League! Build a team with your family, friends, co-workers – some employers will even sponsor! Games are held on Wednesday evenings at Canaveral City Park beginning at 6:15 p.m. Registration is $200 per team, with a maximum of 20 players. The winning team earns a custom championship t-shirts and bragging rights for the next season! Space is limited, visit the link below to register today!
