Sunday 30th March 12noon - 4pm Mothering Sunday: The Power Behind the Throne Stirling Castle Join us as we celebrate Mother’s Day and discover how women have been the power behind the throne and the heart of the home for centuries, even one as grand as Stirling Castle. Queen Mary of Guise will be in residence in the Palace and will be talking about her experiences as a mother including how she fought to retain the crown for her infant daughter and how she had to leave her other children behind in France to do so.
