Multilayer PET/PP/PS foil extrusion plant (in-line version)
Bandera to launch LIGHT DUTY LINE - a cutting-edge foil extrusion line for the production of multi-layer foil for thermoforming applications, capable of covering the whole range of sector-applicable thermoplastics, e.g. PET, PLA, PP, PS.
Main line characteristics: • Optimized output/production cost ratio • Utmost production flexibility – different thermoplastics are processed in minimized times • Minimized scraps at production changes and start-ups • User-friendly line control • Available synchronisation with thermoforming assembly at the calender exit side. • Reduced size • Low power consumption • Homogenous multi-section construction to minimize assembly time and cost.
LIGHT DUTY LINE is synonym for best solution ever for a wide range of users, from the new coming customers – thanks to its user friendliness and maintenance easiness – to major foil processors – demanding utmost flexibility. Simple construction eases line synchronism with in-line thermoforming assembly to be arranged downstream of the polishing - cooling calender.

The latest cost effective solution for FFS application

AGILITY LINE - the newcomer of Bandera rigid film extrusion line range. Line output range is comprised between 500kg/h and 700kg/h, and corotating twin-screw extruder diameters are 55mm and 70mm respectively. Line concept is aimed at maximizing continuous production of small production lots from different process materials, colours, thickness up to 800mm (thanks to the renowned consolidated features of the patented BANDERA corotating twin-screw extruder with high-vacuum venting system). A peculiarity to maximize line suitability for the production of small lots - even by major companies - at unrivalled reduced costs and high speed production changes. The integrated systems for lamination film and foil thread-in - Agility Line fully meets the requirements from FFS field - are fully automated, thus minimizing workmanship costs as well.

ABS/PMMA/PS sheet extrusion technology

Bandera achieved a new success in being placed an order from Russia by one of the major thick sheet producers in the Russian/ European market. The line - to be delivered later in 2012 - ABS sheet output is up to 1500kg/h, with thickness ranging up to 10mm. The line - capable of processing acrylic materials and PS as well - is equipped with two corotating twin-screw extruders from the latest Bandera production range, complete with Bandera patented highly-purifying vacuum. Extrusion dies diameter ranges from 105mm to 70mm for 52 L/D corotating extruders. The 35L/D single-screw extruders feature 65mm diameter. Max sheet layers: 8. Max sheet width: 2,5 m.

New tech developments in North America By the end of 2011 an HVTSE corotating twin-screw extruder, 2C170mm – 42 L/D, was assembled at the largest north American processor in the thermoformable PLA foil extrusion sector. Downstream line section has been designed and manufactured by PTI – BANDERA and its US partner entered a 10-year agreement for the supply of extrusion lines within North American region. Besides a PLA foil output to reach 2500kg/h, the large-sized extruder is equipped with a powerful cutting-edge degassing unit for the extrusion of top-quality PET foil. The line user customer plays a key role in processing polylactic acids in the US – Mexico – Canada market and is an excellent reference for the upcoming European interest holders.

New applications in the

semi-foamed PET/PP Bandera R&D Dept to reach new goals by refining its acknowledged technologies for PET and PLA semifoamed packaging applications. Thanks to its physical foaming system – highly appreciated for its cost effectiveness and top compliance with environmental standards – Bandera corotating twinscrew extruder is suitable for three-layer products with semi-foamed core and material laminated outer layers, thus conferring both great stability to the final product and product weight reduction. In order to meet FFS market requirements, foil coupling with PE film is available. The great advantage of Bandera solution: foam process applied to a standard line.
Bandera to score a triple podium in barriered 5- and 7-layer PP foil sector in 2012 with extrusion lines to be delivered to Italy, Spain and Belgium respectively. All lines are complete with high-purifying corotating twinscrew extruder with vacuum systems and single-screw coextruders for TIE and EVOH barrier materials.
