BANDERA AT K’2013 FAIR – BOOTH NC 6 HALL17 OPEN DOOR TO THE BANDERA PRODUCTION INNOVATIVE PET FOIL EXTRUSION LINE

To the next "K" fair (Düsseldorf 16-23 October 2013) Bandera will participate with a wide expositive area introducing an innovative coextrusion line for 5-layer blown film. It mainly deals with a modern line proper for the extrusion of white and black film with symmetrical structure and with coPA or EVOH barrier in the middle layer, and also for lamination and flexible packaging. In addition, throughout the period from 07.10.2013 to 08.11.2013, at the new R & D area at our site in Busto Arsizio, there will be an open house during which will be tested an innovative coextrusion line for PET/PP rigid foil This is our invitation to visit us! The vision of the PET extrusion line will be during the month of October and the first week of November. During the exhibition there will be a connection between the new R&D area and the K show booth. This will allow the vision of the line in production even during the event.

In details, the line that will be presented during the open house is as follows: - Gravimetric “loss in weight” dosing system, with the possibility to work up to 5 components fed by a suitable handling conveying system - Co-rotating twin screw extruder type HVTSE 2C85mm 52D, for the process of direct extrusion of PET without the dehumidifier and crystallization through the efficient degassing system installed, using post-consumer regrind PET flakes and with the predisposition for the installation of side feeders for external mineral fillers - Co-extruder single screw extruder Tr65mm 35D, for the extrusion of PET virgin/regrind material of the external layers of the foil - Backflush superfiltration screen changer for continuos operation with self-cleaning system for the filters - Melt pump to provides a constant pressure and volume of the melt to the extrusion die reducing scraps and improving the management of the whole process - Three manifold flat die with manual internal deckling systems for reducing easily and quickly the width of the foil and relative feed block and selector plug - Cooling and polishing roll stack calender with horizontal configuration, drilled

rolls and cross-axis system installed on the first calender nip to obtain the perfect foil profile even processing very low foil thicknesses - Lamination system of the barrier film directly in calender by rubber contact roll - Thickness control system monitoring the thickness along the width of the foil - Haul off system and longitudinal cutting system by motorized blade and counter-blade for edge trims of the foil and multi-reel on the same shaft - Semi automatic winding system with double stations. Winder equipped with automatic transversal foil cutting device. Semi-automatic trolley for reel discharge by load cell. System equipped with accumulator double rack to slow down line speed during reels changing operations - Electronic architecture, developed with Siemens, with extruders and die head thermoregulation directly managed through PLC, together with Profinet network. The wiring is noticeably reduced, with the result to ease the electric and electronic maintenance. The extrusion line is controlled by one computerized system that allows a centralized management of all the production and operation parameters. - Operator interface is realized through industrial PC with high definition colour display and touch screen drives. Line supervision system can be easily interfaced with the user’s company network, for remote visualization and production data export. A modem Ewon, today current present in all BANDERA lines, allows the user to be connected to tele-service, in order to get a timely and effective technical support.
