PROJECT BRIEF

In this project we focused on revitalize selected urban corridors/ streets/paths, injecting life back to these spaces. This aim can be attained by dealing with streets as places rather than as movement paths. and that’s the main problem in Falastin St. even after last development in 2013.

The regulation of the street is a commercial street and the new uses are hospitality, offices, clinics, and retail shops eaither resturants or shops.

HOLESTIC AAPROACH The main node acts as attractor points in the middle wich is the largest open public space in the site other the Corniche node this helps attract people from both sides, from Al-Andalus and Corniche road.

STREET DESCRIPTION  Falastin street is an arterial street,

which plays a role as a commercial street and a linkage between Al-Andalus road and King Fahad Fountain. 14

The same scenario applied to the site for the squares and their connection with branding these helped shape the shade and the landscape and the movement of the both side for pedestrians.

QUALITY ARCH. & URBAN AESTHETICS DESIGN (INDIVESUAL WORK)

HUMAN COMFORT

WORK BRIEF

Emphasis on beauty, aesthetics, human comfort, and creating a sense of place; Special placement of civic uses and sites within community. Human scale architecture & beautiful surroundings nourish the human spirit.

- Aesthetics in urban design refers to the creative arrangement of the elements of a town in a beautiful and functional manner. - Order and beauty in a town are a necessity, not an after thought. they are as much a prerequisite to human health as is fresh air.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

After Analyzing the Site and case BEAUTIFUL SURROUNDINGS Studies. we Found a Problem in (QAU) that the site lacks, Aesthestics, Human Comfort, Beautiful Surroundings, Human Scale, Land Scape and Orientation of Buildings.

HUMAN SCALE

- Human scale:  In the creation of cities, More Building always pursues two missions: Environment and Greenery, and Culture and Art.

the connection between Urban Design and the environmental parameters influencing human thermal comfort – through Climate Sensitive Urban Design and urban land surface-atmosphere interactions.

- Environment and Greenery:  We believe that cities and nature can coexist.  - Culture and Art  We build cities that will give birth to new creativity and possibilities.

People experience the built environment at the scale of their own bodies in space. Buildings should meet and engage people at that scale, with awnings, facade elements, lighting, signage and other features along sidewalks. Building forms can be broken down or subdivided visually to lighten the sense of mass. Even very large buildings can meet the human scale in a gracious and accommodating manner.

CONCEPT PROCESS

PROJECT BRIEF

The design of Al-Hadith Narrators museum is based on in-depth analysis of the proccess of collecting and investigating AlHadith Al-Sharif, thanks to the effort of the narratorts as well as the Al-Jarh and Al-Tadeel specialists

The heart of the mass represents the prophency beacon and the connection to the sky.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Competition Type: Architecture  Duration: 2 Weeks  Location: Al-Madinah Al-Monwrah, Saudi Arabia.

Cubes are aligned to represent the companions of the Prophet Mohammed, providing the grid on which the plans can be organized.

Masjid Quba'a

Ground floor cubes are organized around the central atrium in three layers; representing Al-Sahaba, Al-Tabeen and Tabeen Al-Tabeen.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Museums are usually located in the center of the cities due to the easing accessibility for museum visitors, yet in this case Rwaat Al-Hadith museum is far from the city center thus it is an opportunity to be considered as an essential seed for the next city urban context development. 102

Modern code, being manifested in a pure mass, represents Al-Hadith after Al-Jarh and Al-Tadeel process. Traditional code represents the urban fabric of the traditional city.

SUSTAINABILITY - USING OF WASTE CONTAINERS

The world is now aware of the reckless exploitation of natural resources and is now consciously trying to move towards a sustainable future. Within this endeavor, it has become very important to think about

intelligent solutions to building materials and to mitigate traditional solutions. Freight containers are one of the best quality construction solutions that can be easily recycled and are available globally

as there are nearly two million unused containers in ports around the world. We would like to use them so that they help make the project more efficient in terms of sustainable sources. 139

The Five points

GENERAL INFORMATION

Type: Duration: Location:

Competition 3 Days Abha, Saudi Arabia

The dots are formed by lines and combined with spiral lines.

CONCEPT

The Kaaba is centered in the middle of the lower part, and around it are expressive lines about human actions and how man tries to approach and build the relationship of the worshiper to his Lord. This moment comes when God accepts His work and His work is shown with straight white lines in the upper part. The lines were drawn first by forming a fivepoint geometric shape that reflects the five corners of Islam, then moving the geometric shape on a spiral path around the Kaaba, connected to the sky. It wraps itself around seven times, reflecting the tawaaf around the Kaaba. And this shows that the work of man does not accept if we ignore one of the five pillars of Islam. 158
