Call for Head Organisers National Session of 2022
Information and Vision
The call for Head Organisers for the National Session 2022 of EYP Finland is now open. In this call, we are looking for one pair of Head Organisers to organise the, at least, 4-day National Session of EYP Finland between in summer 2022. For the year 2022, EYP Finland is maintaining its new calendar for our Sessions, organising two three-day Regional Sessions in the spring and two in the autumn as well as a four to five-day National Session in the summer. The Sessions will last one day longer for Officials, including the Head Organisers. As the Head Organisers, you will be responsible for the practical arrangements of the Session, such as securing the venues, creating the program, acquiring sponsors and leading the Organising Team. You will also be working closely with the Session Leadership as well as the Board of EYP Finland. All academic matters of the Session will be handled by the Board and the Academic leadership of the Session, so you are only responsible for practical matters. Previous experience as Organisers in EYP Sessions and other events is recommended and considered an advantage, however, it is not a requirement as the newly selected Head Organisers will receive training. The training is mandatory and will be held either online or physically, depending on the COVID-19 situation. Some important things to note this year are that only applications submitted by two people together will be considered as we do not accept bids for Sessions with just one or more than two Head Organisers. Another important point is that EYP Finland will aim to have these sessions take place traditionally as physical sessions, in case the COVID-19 restrictions in Finland will allow for this. However, the Head Organisers should be willing and able to adapt to a digital format if the situation demands this. For this reason, it is required that at least one of the Head Organisers must be able to visit the planned Session location as needed during the planning process. Head Organising is a good way to challenge and develop as a person, experience a new perspective of Sessions, and receive important experience for later life. Head Organising takes a lot of time but gives back considerably more.
