Expenses for the training will be covered by the EYP-SF and the Binational Organising Committee.
Selection criteria Following a decision by the Board of National Committees and the Governing Body, Dublin Belfast 2016 is the first International Session of the EYP at which a recommendation is not a pre-requisite for selection to any role. However, to be eligible for selection, all applicants need to have at least one official EYP evaluation, given at an International Session or at a national or regional event by a former International Session Chairperson. In the reformed system, all team leaders and chairpersons at all events will have the right to submit evaluations. However, the reformed system in its entirety will only take effect on 1 January 2016. In practice, all evaluations to be used at the officials’ selection for Dublin Belfast 2016 have been submitted under the current system and rules. All other selection criteria remain valid. Further information on the reform of the evaluation and feedback system is available at http://alumni.eypej.org/archives/60160. The selection panel has to select the best candidate to act as the member of the Chairs’ team of an International Session according to the standards and criteria listed below:

As the past session president is unable to join the selection panel due to personal reasons and several other past session presidents did not fulfill their post-session duties on time, the Governing Body has agreed to not have any past session president on the chairs’ team selection panel for Dublin Belfast 2016. This is an exceptional case, and the GB hopes that future presidents adhere to their responsibilities promptly and we will shortly be able to have a functioning rotation again. Following the trial for Leipzig 2015, the Governing Body has proposed an amendment to the Policy on the Selection of International Session Officials to have a representative of the National Organising Committee sit on the selection panels for the chairs’ and media teams, with powers and responsibilities equal to other panel members. The policy change still requires the approval of the Board of National Committees. The Call for Chairs, Vice-Presidents and Editors will be closed on October 26th, one day after the Autumn BNC Meeting, where the policy change is discussed. Should the proposal pass, a representative of the Dublin Belfast BiNOC will also take part in the Chairs’ selection. In case you are unsure if you are eligible to apply or if you want to check your individual evaluation forms with your previous Chair(s)/ President(s) or by contacting the Human Resources Officer of the EYP at hr@eyp. org.
