Message from the editors The session in Izmir is limited to 11 days - our vision for the Izmir Media Team is not. We want to create lasting products that have an impact on the EYP community and help our organisation grow. In order to do this, we need a team of experts; exceptional individuals who will take ownership of game-changing projects. All projects will be prepared and partially developed already before the session to leave enough time during the session itself to focus on an active exchange with delegates. In return we will give greater editing responsibilities to journalists and editorial assistants while providing support and tools throughout the process. Get a quick glance of our vision and explore a quick demo of our flagship projects on our website: izmir2015.org/apply. Roles 15 Journalists We are searching for Journalists who can contribute with their individual expertise to the Media Team and are able to pass on their knowledge to other team members. Therefore, we need individuals who passionately take ownership over their work and manage it accordingly. Professionalism requires specialisation to some extent. We want to let Journalists choose in which field they want to challenge and develop themselves. It is, however, important to emphasize that we see this session not just as a chance for journalists to develop their expertise but to also explore new fields they have not yet set a foot in. 2 Editorial Assistants To implement our vision we need two talented Editorial Assistants who will support and supervise Journalists during content production with their leadership, management and technical skills. One Editorial Assistant will be working both on web and print publishing but also on language and content checks. The other Editorial Assistant will focus on the production of professional videos. Aside excellent video production skills, great leadership and the ability to keep in mind the bigger picture of the vision will be essential. Sebastian Hojas & Oliver Stenbom
