EYP Training & Alumni DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL Update for the BNC Meeting (October 2014)
? Why a training council? EYP’s Long Term Strategy for EYP names training as a mean to achieve all three of the strategic EYP goals: be inspiring, achieving and developing. We aim to serve the EYP community by: • Nurturing an open and professional training culture; • Facilitating knowledge sharing; • Empowering National Committees to enhance their training capacity; • Creating learning and development opportunities for EYPers. Our core values are: • Training courses are essential for efficient knowledge sharing and thus for the sustainability and growth of EYP; • Passion for personal and organisational growth; • Anyone can develop further; there is potential in everyone.

The List of Trainers and Pool of Trainers help NCs to find qualified and experienced trainers. We expect a new wave of trainers to join the Pool by end of this year. We have 26 trainers on the Pool of Trainers and an additionally 20 on the List of Trainers. Trainings: Assist NCs with training courses A very big part of our work is to support NCs by assisting them in organising training courses, helping to find qualified trainers, supporting with content preparations, offering materials for similar training courses held, sharing best practices and advertising trainings.

Materials: Producing, developing and dissemination EYP training materials
1. Apply to host T4ET 2015! Hosting an international training course has several advantages for NCs. In the past, most of the funding had been covered with Erasmus+ and the Mercator fund. 2. Share the Teambuilding Database with your alumni! 3. Send materials and/or help us developing materials: President’s guide, Jury Guide, Content Skeletons for most Training Courses and Best Practices from Chair’s Teams and Boards.
