Health:
The Best Investment This year make your health your top priority. Fitness Expert and Owner of FitClub Jamaica, Stokely Rose, is telling you that investing in your health will save you physically and financially later on in life. Here are a few tips to start your journey.
Don’t Lie to Yourself. Tomorrow will never stop being tomorrow if you don’t start now. Start exercising today. It’s best to control yourself, cut back on your food intake now instead of postponing it for another day. Even if you mess up today, don’t let that be the end of your investment. Keep on keepin’ on.
Have a Realistic Goal. Throughout his 15 years of being a fitness coach, Stokely has noted that most clients generally want to lose weight. More often than not, women want to spot reduce, which isn’t how it works. The body pulls energy from all areas to complete the exercises attempted and so you don’t necessarily get to chose what you want gone. Men tend to want to gain muscle mass, but across the board, weight loss is the most common goal. Having a fitness goal is very important, it aids in providing needed motivation to get out of bed every morning. It is essential that you set a specific goal, not just that you want to lose weight. Decide on a specific target number that is achievable.
Patience. Balance. Commitment.
per week for sustenance is one to two pounds. Don’t get caught in overzealousness and fad diets. The healthiest way to lose weight is to engage in a proper nutritional program, which includes reducing your calories, making sure your output is more than your input. To maintain the weight loss you must exercise, dieting to lose weight without exercise is unrealistic.
Bulking and Getting Buff. “Bulking refers to gaining muscle mass not gaining fat,” said Stokely. To bulk, exercise is necessary, so lifting weights is important. Mix weight training with cardiovascular exercise for even better results. Stocking up on whey protein, vitamins and natural, clean foods is also helpful when trying to increase muscles. Note also that rest is very important, whether your goal is bulking or weight loss.
Health is Paramount. Though exercise doesn’t control longevity it guarantees a better quality of life. Being proactive with your health will help ensure that as you get older you can truly enjoy the wealth you’ve been working to accumulate.
In the pursuit of being the master of your own body, you must be able to proceed at a slow and steady pace while remaining committed to the cause. The required weight loss

announced the winner of The Collection MoDA in front of a crowd of stylists, supermodels and other fashion enthusiasts. There were no words to truly portray how she felt at that crowning moment. Nicole could only describe it as surreal. “I felt numb. It was surreal at the time. It didn’t sink in until a couple of days later. 6
"Alexander Mcqueen is my inspiration. he is an english designer who designs limitless, theatrical, 'out there' designs; they are audacious. I tend to design around that influence" - Nicole Bryan The First Global sponsored cash prize of JM$250,000, offers Nicole the chance to start her clothing line, Fuche, and the opportunity to garner knowledge from the likes of Kerry-Ann Clarke, Fidge Fletcher, Carlton Jones and Arnold Milford. The mentorship, along with the chance to get funding, provided all the inspiration for her to enter. “I needed the exposure, plus it was amazing learning from the panel and to have first hand experience with them, it can’t get better than that!” Winning the competition has given Nicole the exposure she bargained for and now the public sees
