Market at the Lawn You should definitely stop by Market at the Lawn between 10am and 6pm this Sunday, rain or shine. More than 40 booths will be set up on the lawns of Devon House for the June staging of the event, which takes place every last Sunday. Look forward to a great day with the family, with shopping opportunities from a variety of vendors offering some of the best deals around town. There will be something for everyone, including jewellery, furniture, plants, compost soil, beauty products, as well as women’s, men’s and children’s clothing. There will also be food and drink on sale and sponsor, Wray and Nephew Wines, will be offering samples throughout the day. Bring the kids as El Centro will have fun activities at the playground.

What is your favourite weekend spot and why?
What would be your ideal weekend?
My favourite weekend spot is Scotchies. I enjoy meeting up with friends and family there to unwind and laugh about fond moments. Also, their tamarind sauce ‘shot’! But anywhere that includes good food and a relaxed environment with the ones I love has the makings of a great weekend spot.
My ideal weekend would be to get together with a group of my closest friends, get some food ready and, with cameras in hand, take a long drive out to the country.

Shona Bewley 24 Miss Neutrogena
What has been your best weekend ever?
Where is your favourite weekend getaway? My favourite weekend getaway would definitely be a visit to the west coast with friends and family. One of my favourite places to just relax and enjoy the beauty of Jamaica is in Negril. From the crystal clear water and white sandy beaches to the beautiful sunsets, it’s a great getaway from city life.
Sitting home, relaxing, watching TV, being around family, just being around positive energy; not dressing up and going to the club. That’s fun, but my best weekend is relaxing with my family.
Saneta Kerr 21 Miss Dark & Lovely What do you like to do on your weekends? I love visiting the tranquil parish of Hanover on the weekends. Waking up to my mother’s cooking, being around my family and hiking in the rural areas are things I never get tired of. The peaceful ambiance is relaxing. To top it off, I like watching true story movies.

Danielle Crosskill Miss Jamaica World 2011
T
he wkndr caught up with Danielle Crosskill, who will be handing over the crown to a new Miss Jamaica World during tomorrow night’s coronation ceremony. What do you like to do on your weekends? Relax with friends and family. Do you have a weekend must eat? Sushi. What has been your best weekend ever? There have been way too many awesome weekends for me to speak about just one, but it usually involves the country, great friends, good food and relaxing on the beach. Where is your favourite weekend getaway? Port Antonio – my favourite place in Jamaica, where jungle meets the sea.
DRINK OF
CHOICE: RosĂŠ
What event or activity would you recommend for any given weekend and why? Every Friday I get a mani/pedi. Not only does it relax me, but also, it makes me feel ready for the weekend. What will you do with your weekends after passing over the reigns? Although I would have passed on the crown, my charity Crayons Count is still ongoing and many of my weekends will still be occupied, but at every opportunity, I will try my very best to take off to my country getaway spots. Can you tell I love the country?
