How did you get started out in music?
My dad is a music lover, so he had a big collection of music. As a baby, my siblings and I would listen to the music and sing along. He listened to a lot of great artistes, so we had a mature taste in music from a very young age.
What genre of music do you do?
I call it a reggae fusion; it’s reggae mixed with dancehall, pop and R&B. All of that combined is me.
What has been your favourite experience musically so far?
My favourite musical experience so far was when I recorded my first original song and later hearing it on the radio. I couldn’t believe my dream was coming true.
What has been your best weekend ever?
My best weekend to date has got to be at the 2011 Jazz and Blues Festival. I was in VIP and just inches away from Maroon 5. Seeing them live and seeing Adam Levine was an amazing experience.
How do you see your weekends changing as you become more recognised musically?
I think my weekends are going to become very busy, going to the studio not only on the weekends, but weekdays as well. But that’s what I’ve always wanted, so when it happens, I’m definitely ready.
