lock colours run in fluid lines allowing the body’s movements to gain an elongated yet elegant look. Preparing the wearer to go into battle with the elements, thick bands of block colour encase limbs almost imitating armour. aking note of the gothic architectural movement, millenials combine it with a 21st century dark sense of humour and wear it on their chest so everyone can see that life isn’t quite so ‘fetch’ after all. This trend is perfect for the millennial that wants to wear their mood for all to see as sprawling logos and dramatic statements take over in a new form of sarcastic self expression.

ith the release of films such as La La Land and Neon Demon, neon lighting is making a big resurgence, both in interiors and merchandising. The act of being able to manipulate the design of a sign and what it says, adds a personal touch to a brand’s space. With the current political climate and how this is infiltrating fashion, it’s expected to feed into visual merchandising very soon.
