// ILLUSTRATION Visual communication design is a special branch of digital design with a strong artistic connection. Illustrations can tell or support stories, create fantasies and convey all kind of information and strong messages. Pure Illustration is one of the most important non-verbal communication possibilities. My approach is a combination of special color gradings, structur and composition. I truly think that every little idea is worth a concept.

// DPS SKIS SALE EVENTS I created different graphics for Salt Lake City based DPS Skis. One of my big DPS projects was the badge design for the special sale events of the season 17/18. I finally came up with three final propsals. The concept for the summer event “dreamtime“ will be carry out soon.

// DPS SKIS CATALOG In close collaboration with the art director we created the new DPS SKIS catalog for the winter season 2017/2018 . I edited and finished a lot of ski topsheet graphics. Therefore I used Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. The choice of image content was also one of the biggest tasks.

// PROMOTION POSTER Sports, outdoors and lifestyle! No limits!? Todays promotion need to be outstanding. Geometry leads through concepts and strenghens the message. Appropriate color grading becomes way more important for graphic design and multi media art.

// LOGOS I created different brand logos for a lot of special design projects and startups. Some projects are mentioned in my portfolio. The subjects differ, mainly outdoor sports, lamp design, marketing and interior.

// bend The light concept is designed as a floor lamp. It is cold molded and consists out of flexible plywood and oak veneer. “bend“ is named by the curved and wooden shape. Light means living. Turn the light element as the earth does around the solar system.
// TRICOM The geometric concept Tricom turns our communication upside down! It is the first ever rotating cable home phone. The design approach is to avoid dangerous radiation. The docking station is a loop with a small slot for the mobile phone.
// AVA The interactive device “AVA“ was designed to help backcountry skiers at the mountain. Stop or go information support and AR navigation in avalanche terrain are included. Stay safe. Keep riding.

// SCHMIRAGE The brand Schmirage was founded to arouse endless creativity, sustainability and awareness of nature in nowadays society. The roll-up pencil case was created for the use in outdoor areas, especially for all adventurers and active, creative people. It is made out of old wind surfing sails. Every single roll-up pencil is unique.
The „Your desk in the oudoors“ campaign included 3 short teaser videos at different remote places. The ad movie production took 2 days. It was really exciting. Special logos were created for each location.

What happens to old windsurfing sails? Most athletes store these sails until they rot in the garage. Why not just re-use the material as a roll-up pencil case? The material is unique, reusable and versatile. The signs of the years-long use are a value. It gives each case its own character and tells a story about the first life of the product. The sails are designed for extreme conditions. Therefore they are perfectly suited for the upcycling project. The sails are rugged, water resistant and indestructible. Finally I end
up with a sturdy and also fancy pencil case for outdoor artists. The marketing activities are based on the three mentioned core values of schmirage. bewusst. Ăźberall. kreativ.

// HELGA The seaweed drink HELGA expands into the German market. Therefore a special marketing mix is required to sell the unique drink. In collaboration with the brand an appropriate propasal were created for the area of Berlin and surroundings. Limited edition drink were founded for different point of sale opportunities (gyms, grocery stores, spas) located in the German cities.
// MINUSGRAD Black and white. Contrast! A brand´s corporate identity can create big difference! Clear communication and uique visuals are the key. Minusgrad combines all of them.
