Proyecto final The project aimed to preserve the valuable historical layers of Madrid while adding to the city's urban palimpsest. The research concept involves connecting new interventions to existing urban areas, fostering a symbiotic relationship and integrating distinct buildings in Embajadores through a shared design language. Each building addresses a different problem and maintains a connection to its surroundings while preserving its distinctiveness. The Tabacalera acts as an accessible island within the neighborhood, creating additional usable space on the roof. The market building, with its lightweight design, interacts with a bustling street, while a tree-lined avenue faces the Tabacalera, providing protection from the surrounding noise. The residence establishes a connection with the close facades through the rhythm of its openings.
