Le Tour de Yorkshire encore!
2014 saw Leeds city centre come to life during the Grand DĂŠpart. This international
event inspired our artists to create original works with a bicycle theme. These paintings ranged from big race events full of movement to old and rusty bikes resting against a wall. Following on from the success and popularity of these paintings many more ‘Tour de Yorkshire’ inspired works of art can be found in store this year.

Meet Kate Park of Twice Fired, a mum of three/Glass artist/Teacher/Gin drinker. Her studio is in her garden in Farsley, where the three chickens, two cats and lots of wildlife keep her company. iridescent gloss of a beetle and the elegant formations of birds. Possibilities are endless. I love to experiment with subtle tones and shapes in the seductive medium of glass. Shades of colour change in different conditions and hidden gems reveal themselves as the light changes. Hi, I’m Kate. Andy my husband is very supportive, he runs his own digital agency ‘Open Path’ but still finds the time to be my in-house designer. He doesn’t even roll his eyes anymore when late at night I say “can you just ?” I studied Fine Art at Leeds Uni and later fell in love with glass. Spice Union Thai Rub
Thai Chicken Skewers
Use Spice Union Thai Rub to bring the taste of Southeast Asia to your kitchen or Barbeque. Using a blend of Asian herbs and spices we have captured the essence of Thai cuisine. Add to meat, fish, rice dishes or just about anything you want to give a Thai edge too.
2. Next let’s crack open the Spice Union Thai rub and add 2 teaspoons to the bowl.
1. So first off, we need to put about 200g of chicken mini breast fillets into a clean bowl so we can get some rub onto them.
3. Right, give it all a good mix to make sure it’s all evenly seasoned. 4. “Note at this point you can cover and stick them in the fridge to marinade for later if you like, but it’s not crucial” 5. It’s time to get these fillets skewered up! Hold the chicken in one hand and thread the skewer through the fat end first so it exits through the tip of the fillet - careful of your fingers! 6. For best results we suggest cooking these on a griddle pan, frying pan or on the BBQ. It will give them a nice charring and you can keep turning them to ensure they are cooked evenly and thoroughly. 7. The pan or BBQ will need to be really hot and the skewers will take approximately 7 to 8 mins to cook through. 8. Garnish with a sprig of coriander, a wedge of lime and a dip of your choice. Enjoy!

Mirror Mirror specialises in creating unique lightboxes which can be completely tailored to each customer - designs can be created from scratch with your individual theme, name and text of choice.
