Heather Williams
Julie Adams
Its Heather Williams here. I work at TAB middle school now, teaching IT. I am married with 2 gorgeous children and live in Lancing. I have since leaving school tried my hand at most things from being a dental nurse to training large corporations around the UK in Insurance matters (yawn yawn)!!
Been together with my hubby Colin for 18 years now, and we 3 handsome boys...
My memory is shot so have very few although i do remember something to do with water jugs in the canteen and an essential ladies monthly handbag item???!!! Dont ask me why I thought it would be funny but it was although the telling off I got from Mr Frith whilst standing outside the very smoky staff room door wasnt all that!! Well that all folks!!!! Hx
We live on the Isle of Wight and have a seafront cafe. Memories from school...hmmm tended to shut most off it out...lol. Looking forward to a good night, and catch up with old friends. Bring on Saturday...
Lauren Sartin What’s you funniest memory from school? Loads of fond memories from school, mostly centred around the canteen and the Boulevard entrance which was a good smoking area and place to meet the boys from Worthing High! The French trip in year 2 was fun remember having my chair constantly adjusted on the horrifically long coach journey. Very much enjoyed study leave, back when the weather was hot and sunny - and revising for exams down the beach with Kelly and Lucy... What are you doing now... What’s your job, How many kids, where have you been for the last 24 years? I do the accounts for my husband’s business, part time fitting around my lovely boys - Alex who is 10 and Jasper who is 9. Great work/life balance which is good news for everyone!
Are you married or single? Looking to relight an old school flame? See above - married for 13 years but been with him since I was 21. How far are you coming for the reunion... Where do you live now? I am coming all the way from Broadwater - bit of a trek but thought it’d be worth it! Sorry not done more, but am at work and should probably start getting to it... look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Sharon Strudwick
Ayshea Wood
I was known as Sharon Strudwick at school but changed to Ronnie in the last year of school as Shaz and Trac from Viz magazine where quite big and although I secretly loved them I didn’t want to be associated with them!
No funny memories School dinner lady!! 2 kids Married All the way from Goring Ayshea Rich
I’m now known as Ronnie O’Connor and have been married for 15yrs with 3 gorgeous sons 14, 10 and 7. Still living in Worthing and work as a nurse and have been qualified for 18years!!!!! I have loads of memories from school most good and some not so good. Once I forget about the bullying in the early years I developed some strong friendships most of them I still see today albeit not as often as I would like! One memory that sticks in my mind is Clare Bray and myself having a water fight in our mock art exam, after a telling off my brown tongue helped us to get away with it but not before they threatened to expel us from the final exam! There are plenty of funny moments but sadly not thanks to me, it was usually at someone else’s expense................ A massive thank you to all of you for helping me believe school was fun!!!
Jon Smith I arrived at DHS in 87, last minute thing after discovering that life at Private school didn’t suit me at all! The first person I met was Toby (Parker) Southgate … things went downhill pretty fast after that :) I have fond memories of Robert Elson, Simon Winbow, Paul Hamond, Toby Parker and myself bunking off from school (surprise surprise) and trying to ‘liberate’ a small fishing boat … needless to say this proved disastrous and ended up with us sitting in our Y-fronts desperately trying to dry out our school uniforms before going home …
Looking back I guess we all have memories, good and bad, and these experiences, however difficult they may have seemed back then, make us the people we are today … although there really is no fathoming out Sean Howard … Love and peace to you all … enjoy the party! I look forward to seeing the photos Jon (Jonathan) Smith
I also remember (mainly because I was informed afterward) the (in)famous beach party at Goring Gap, the one the Police raided … Matt Tapp slugged me in the mouth, at my request I hasten to add, Toby vanished with my bottle of Whiskey and I seem to remember getting a barrage of stones thrown at me …

Funniest memory: Ryan making a lewd comment loudly about our a new girl at school, from just behind her in the corridor only for her to turn around and for him to realise it was our new science teacher Mrs Anthony.
Funniest memory - many hair disasters!!!
What am I doing now: I’m a dentist, 3 kids (saskia 4, Toby 9, Joey 11), after durrington, went to lancing college, then Chichester college, took a gap year and travelled around Australia and New Zealand. then went to London to study dentistry for 5 years. Came back to Worthing area for 5 years then immigrated to Australia with my husband Sven and then 2 children. Lived here for 9 years on the Sunshine Coast about an hour north of Brisbane. Message: firstly Jim thanks for making this possible. Have an amazing night make even more amusing memories.I shall look forward to the photos. Someone keep Helen away from the bar men after 2 drinks. Hello to everyone I knew and those who I only got to know after leaving Dhs. Emma Manse (nee Hutchcroft)
Sure more will come back to haunt me on the night! I was working in a Solicitors offices for the last 23 years since the week after finishing DHS and have recently changed careers to become a Teaching Assistant in a local First School. I am married, have three daughters and have always been and am still.....in Worthing! :-)
Nichola Wilkin 1. Most of my memories involve the misfortune of other people, which as a teenager I obviously I found hilarious. Not good with names or faces, sorry, but do remember some nutter putting a craft knife straight through his hand and then running around school with it still in his hand. I also remember somebody else (or maybe same person) falling backwards out of a classroom window and somebody falling out the “Tower”. Not great anecdotes I know but hopefully will jog somebody else’s memory and can add meat to the bones of these stories.
I taught IT to secondary pupils (ages 11 to 18), became the Head of IT in a private boys school in Bedford and was asked to become a government advisor for the new ICT and Computing curriculum after some articles I had written on the subject. I left teaching earlier this year and started my own company as a freelance writer of academic material and I still act as a Government Advisor on educational matters. It seems to be going well so far and I am looking forward to the challenges that running my own business brings.
2. Since failing miserably at my GCSEs at DHS I went to Worthing sixth form and didn’t do much better. Then went onto Northbrook college studying Business and IT and finally university. Did okay there and became a programmer and ended up traveling around the country training colleges to use the software we had created. I discovered I enjoyed the training side and so became a university lecturer in London for a couple of years and then an IT trainer working for lots of different companies all over the country. 10 years after graduating for the first time I went back to university and trained to become a teacher.
3. Living with my boyfriend of 18 years and we have 2 boys aged 12 and 9. 4. I presently live in Cambridge. Hope that helps and sorry my memory is so crap :) Nicky

Guy Taylor 1. This is not repeatable to a public audience but involves a scene at a house party at Danielles......its a very hazy memory due to the 20/20 but I think her Dad walked in on an anguishing sight that will have been burned into his conciousness for life. 2. I’m a banker........or hope to be again soon. Just got back two weeks ago from my world tour and the job market is a bit painful. No kids. Not married. Split up with my last GF on the tour. Last 24 years ....3 years-sixth form, 3 years-uni, 4 years-working in ski resorts/greece in the summer-3 years training to be a chartered accountant- 10 years working in accountancy/banking- 1 year travelling (40th birthday present to myself, didn’t expect to lose my GF as part of it! Jaki Ackroyd My funniest memory was being called into Mrs McCall’s office as Mrs Maddock had reported me for apparently running up the corridor, screaming abuse as her. What actually happened was that she tried to collar me for something (probably to have a go about something) and i was on my way to another lesson, which i explained to her before walking away. Luckily when this happened the corridor was full of students all going to their next lessons and i was able to give about 20 names of students who had witnessed my brief conversation with Mrs Maddock. Mrs McCall called in several of the students who verified what had actually happened and to see Mrs Maddock’s face when she was proved wrong was priceless.
Needless to say the incident did not improve our relationship but was bloody hilarious to me!! I am a Registered Manager of a residential home for teenagers with challenging behaviour. I am married and have 2 daughters aged 11yrs and 18yrs. I have lived in Worthing for the past 24 years apart from when i ran a pub in Maidstone for 6 months about 14 years ago. Jaki Hickman (Ackroyd)

My funniest memory from school was when I liked a bloke from the year above and on valentines day, my friends sent me a card with Brain on the bottom rather than Brian!!! Kind of gave the game away!! Can’t remember who did it though.
1. Core Wars were an early funny memory (2nd year apple fights between the warring functions of the original 1st years, West Park scum and riff raff from other schools, as each school tried to exert their superiority). Most things involving Jason Briggs were funny too.
After a few dead end jobs, such as being a receptionist in a hotel in Brighton and then in Guildford where I lived for awhile, I moved up to Leeds (2000) to do my nursing course. I met my husband Rob on the course and he is a nurse in A&E at Leeds General Infirmary. I’ve been a nurse for 10 years now and I work on a cancer ward at St James’s in Leeds. My mum and dad are in Brighton now and we often visit in the school holidays.
2. I went to Northbrook College for 3 years. Then South Bank University in London for 2 years, then spent one year studying at a Grande Ecole Superieure in France to finish my International business studies degree. I then returned to London where I have lived ever since. I work in IT for PwC at Canary Wharf. 3. I am married to Marianna (a Finn). I have 2 daughters aged 7 and 6.

4. I live near Greenwich, SE London. I’ve travelled 75 miles here today. cheers Steve
Kim Sawyer For the old TAB lot - our school trip to Yorkshire was a blast and probably one of the first times away from home for a lot of us. Lots of frolics in the dorms at night and repeatedly being told to go to sleep. Someone got stuck on a wooden bridge as they didn’t like heights and we walked for miles in the stunning countryside. Really fond memories and I remember that a lot more clearly than some of the DHS stuff. That’s where the photo of Steven Brooks with me, Emma & Sarah came from - on the coach! Memories: The storms of 1987 caused a massive tree to come down and squash a hut at DHS Matthew Jackson & Grant Knowles always playing up in science. I’m sure they nearly set fire to the lab My personal funniest memory (although it wasn’t at the time) was my strange haircut I had in my final years. Short on one side and long on the other. I stopped the hairdresser half way through cutting it and walked out as she cut it too short and then I just had to make the best of it. Much amusement to Remy who always wondered what my style & colour would be from one week to the next.
I currently work in HR & Finance. I’m married and have a daughter, Molly, who is 6. I still live in Worthing. Steven Brooks and I are coming together on a date for old time sake! Daryll is also joining us. I think I went out with them both before I was 9 !! Kim x

After 2 years of Mrs White the maths teacher failing to get me to turn up to various detentions, She eventually caught me attempting to head off home and hauled me into the maths room and locked me in there. Michelle Pearce Congratulations on arranging a reunion where people have actually responded. It makes a nice change and its now down to everyone there on Saturday night to have a good time. Anyway, in response to your questions on personal feedback, mine are as follows; What I’m doing now? I run our business (mine & my husbands) doing double glazing repairs. Called it “Awares Repairs”. I have 4 children so have no real time to call my own! In the last 24 years - Met my husband when I was 18 (1991), started dating when 20 years old, fell pregnant quite quickly, had our eldest son Jack when 21 (1995), got married 3 years later (1998), then immediately fell for our second son Charlie (1999), started the business in 2003, then found I was pregnant again with our third son Harvey (2004), then had our daughter Carys 3 years ago (2010). The kids are now 18, 14, 9 and 3. Lets just say I’m kept busy & there’s rarely a dull moment in our house!
Funny school memory - I suppose it had to be at the Aquarena. If you remember in the last year of school we were allowed to choose where we wanted to do PE, ie bowling alley, aquarena etc. Me, Clare Gray, Chynna Mockford, Kim McGregor were all on the top diving board (can’t remember who else was on the diving board but there were definitely others in the pool - no idea who) and Clare (bless her) took off wrong and did the biggest belly flop I have ever seen. She hit the water flat. It was really loud and when she came up for air she was red head to foot from hitting the water so awkwardly. Needless to say us 3 on the top board were in absolute hysterics screaming with laughter. It was a “had to be there to see it moment” but one I shall never forget and definitely still brings a smile to my face. Hope she can forgive me for remembering it so well..... Good luck Jim.... See you on Saturday evening, Michelle :-)

Kevin Sullivan Here you go: 1. I’m sure there were many funny moments but with the passage of time I’m struggling to remember any specific ones worth mentioning right now. I have a photo story that I did with Daryll, Guy, Matthew Cummings and Jeffrey Woolhouse which was funny at the time (and still is now) but without getting the green light from Jeffrey (albeit I haven’t asked him yet) I have been reluctant to upload the photos to Facebook. I’ll bring the hard copies on Saturday though for discrete viewing!; 2. After DHS, I went to 6th Form College then Leicester University then onto the College of Law in Guildford before spending two years working in a French ski resort prior to starting my training contract with a firm in Ipswich. Stayed working for them for a while then had a spell at a firm in Norwich and now I’m a partner at Birkett Long LLP solicitors, the largest law firm in Essex. I am the proud father of two children (both under the age of 5, so it’s pretty hard work at times!);
3. Married to Emily. I don’t think any of my old flames will be attending so it’ll be lonely cab ride home for me...; and 4. I live in Ipswich so I’ll be travelling about 135 miles. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday! Kevin
Dannielle Glyn-Jones Hello James Okay so I think I’m possible too late, but in case you want the info here you go:Funniest moment: Probably when Daniel Reilly locked the supply teacher (I forget her name possible Mrs Silverstone?) out of the science lab so she had to walk all the way round the block to get back into the classroom again. She was fuming and no one owned up so I think we all got a detentio, but it was worth it. There was also an occasion during one of Mr Browns plays when Pippa Stainer and I got the worse case of giggles and laughed snorting through a whole scene, I think we actually made the whole stage wobble trying to hold it in. What I am doing: Well as briefly as possible, I went to Goldsmith Uni London, lived and worked in London for a few years, chucked it all in in 1999 to travel around the world,
spent a year in Oz bought a car and drove all the round the coast Cairns, Darwin, Perth to Sydney (bumping into Michael Rebera along the way somewhere I seem to remember) Spent 6 months in Asia ( Laos/ Thailand/ Sumatra /Malaysia). Came home decided to move to Brighton, got a job with Aviva. Met my husband through friends. Got married 8 years ago, now have two scrumptious little twin boys age 6, non identical and a complete shock at our first scan to find I was carrying a litter! I am now still working for Aviva part time commuting to London working in Corporate Speciality Risks – all very boring stuff, you don’t need to know about. Married? - Yes happily married, seem to have somehow found a gooden. Travelling from - Just Brighton Thanks for all your mega organising, and see you on Saturday. Danny

Looking through the FB group, we originally attempted this reunion, back in 2009. A venue was booked, a handful of tickets sold, but it just never happened.
Shall we do another... for our 50th... 60th...? Let me know. I’ll be up for it, if I’m still around.
This whole reunion idea, spawns from just a handful of special individuals. Helen Jacklin, Amanda Beard, Nikki Howell, Matthew Perfect, Sharon Strudwick and Jason Price... And those guys are really responsible for you all coming tonight. Well done guys, thank you for your support and commitment. I can’t remeber a lot from school... but, you read every post, picture uploaded, and soon the memories flood back. When Helen first uploaded the year photo, I looked at it, not really remembering too much, but tonight, while putting this booklet together, it feels like just yesturday. That upload really kicked this event into gear.
A bit about me. Married to a very beautiful Caroline. Two fantastic boys, Ethan (10) and Bastie (7), a boxer called Nelson and Doughnut the cat. I run a print and web company, and do lots to support my community. I am passionate about encouraging entrepreneurship within the youth, mentoring start-up businesses and enthusing businesses to raise their game. I hate vistaprint and shit logos. Anyway.... I hope you have an awesome night. Jim 07711 948 990 www.facemediagroup.co.uk
