Radio Bahrain Company bagged three accolades at the 2023 Transform Awards, a regional recognition for excellence in rebranding and brand strategy.

The Kingdom experienced a proud moment as Radio Bahrain Company received the Gold Award for Best visual identity from the technology, media and telecommunications sector; and Bronze for both, Best use of a visual property and Best use of copy style or tone of voice. The portfolio company of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company shone at a special ceremony hosted in Dubai to announce the winners of the awards’ 10th season.

Radio Bahrain CEO, Omar Khalifa Shaheen said: “This recognition reflects our commitment to continue to be at the forefront of 21st-century radio and offer our listeners an exceptional entertainment experience. The rebrand marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter as we look ahead to the future. We are committed to continuously raising the bar and delivering entertainment excellence to our listeners.”

Last year, Radio Bahrain launched its new brand in collaboration with local branding agency Unisono. Operated and managed by the company, Radio Bahrain 96.5, the Kingdom’s first English radio station, has grown as a trusted community service since 1977. Offering 24-hour broadcasts, it provides audiences of all ages and backgrounds an eclectic mix of the latest music and local and global news as well as entertainment. As the most recognised station in Bahrain and the Eastern Province, it enjoys an extensive reach, with an audience of 6.5 million listeners.

An important part of the lives of locals and expats living on the island, Radio Bahrain 96.5 airs a range of shows, hosted by some of the best RJs in the market; Martin & Chiara In The Morning, Non Stop Old School and Milala’s Show to name a few.
