The Ocean Calls

As social distancing continues to be practiced all over the globe, we look to the future of yachting with new deliveries gearing up for the waters in a postpandemic world…

It is safe to say that planning your next foray on the seas is something that many of our readers will have had to put on hold. At Hadag, we’re missing the breezy days out on our boats and down at the marinas, but one thing is for sure; we’ve got our finger on the pulse and will continue to bring you all the latest yachting news about what’s in store for post-corona life.

We take a look at some of the biggest deliveries and events that were planned for early 2020. Turn to p26 and enjoy the masterpieces captured by photographer Silvano Pupella, who beautifully showcases 30 black and white images depicting a visual tale of the harmony between craftsmanship and technology, that has made Sanlorenzo the top of nautical excellence.

Stepping up its innovation game, the Ferretti Yachts 500 is the first to bring the manufacturer’s new philosophy to the seas. Based on the idea of Just Like Home, we zoom in on the new yacht starting p32 and take a look at this new rebrand challenge, up close and personal.

Talking of new challenges, Sunreef Yachts is stepping up its green initiatives with its new range of eco catamarans, all available to check out through a dedicated website. The eco catamaran range is a complete, 360-degree concept for eco cruising and you can read all about it from p46 onwards.

We keep things fast, ferocious and classy as ever with a drive in the latest from Ferrari. For car enthusiasts who can’t wait to hit the open road again, turn to p50 and let us take you on the best ride of quarantine life.

To top all of this off, we’ve got fashion, style, home, health and even the most luxurious dining that has opened up with social distancing measures in place. We hope you’re all keeping safe and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that it won’t be long now until we’re cruising through the cool sea breeze once again.
