The recently-unveiled Lexus Sport Yacht 42 is a collaboration between the renowned car manufacturer and Marquis Yachts – the result is a bold and sophisticated yacht that will take your breath away.

Well, how about something that looks straight out of a sci-fi film? Enter the Lexus Sport Yacht 42 and you might have found the answer. Luxury automakers designing yachts is no longer a novel idea. Hot on the heels of Aston Martin-Quintessence Yachts and Mercedes Benz-Silver Arrows Marine, Lexus has partnered with Marquis Yachts for its debut into the maritime world. Say hello to the bespoke 42-foot long, open Sport Yacht 42.

The innovative space-age style yacht boasts a modern rose gold exterior and weighs around 2000 pounds less than similar fibre-glass yachts (per the International Business Times), powered by twin 5-litre V8 engines with the capability of reaching a top speed of 43knots – not bad for a yacht of this size which can accommodate up to eight people.

At the helm of this imagination-pushing yacht, the captain will use two touch screens, a small one in the wheel and a much larger one beside it, both of which will help to navigate the open waters. Down below, the forward cabin comes complete with a comfortable sofa for six people as well as air conditioning for the hot days out at sea. There’s even a table where you can set down those chilled drinks, snacks and other belongings. The leather and wood details will have you in awe. In fact, the entire yacht and its revolutionary result is the work of Diesel Centre Frabetti Design of Italy and Toyota Marine engineers.
