Winter 2020rhythm

This season, the Pleats Please Issey Miyake collection is inspired by rhythm. Steps to respond to the sounds of trees and the city. Beats that echo softly in the body. Air that swings and races through the space inside the cloth. These vibrant rhythms are transmitted to the cloth, and they begin to bounce lightly.

The Monthly Colors series is all about cool color tones. It gives off a feeling of transparency and an impression of sporty lightness, with short pants and designs with deep slits.

The Stone Gradation series is a collection of horizontal pleated pieces in grey color tones. The top and skirt are made in two colors using separate fabrics which create volume. The shape of the pieces can be altered and restyled using the waist strings.
