How long have you been in the Events business?

Over 15 years - it’s been eventful and adventurous to say the least.

Why and When was Moment’s Wedding and Events started?

Having been in the industry for some time, I observed a gap where clients would have difficulties organising their wedding. It ranged from the right venue, a creative design and alignment of the wedding theme to wedding dress design, jewellery, accessories, etc…

Also many brides are stressed and fatigued on their wedding day and definitely no bride should feel that way, thus the idea of solving all this issue brought the birth of Moments. As to when, the idea was baking for a few years and only in February did I start to lay the ground for Moments Wedding and Events.

What factors do you consider when choosing an event venue?

The Capacity based on expected guests, The Design concept and possibility of implementation, Venue location and accessibility, Venue logistics , Catering quality that’s being served just to mention a few, however there’s more to be considered for the right venue based on specific requirements of a wedding.

What are your strategies for dealing with irate clients?

In my opinion the client doesn’t get upset unless there’s a reason. What we try to do is ensure we fulfill our agreement to deliver an amazing event and exceed their expectation whenever possible.

Every wedding contract lays the ground rules ensuring no loopholes for any misunderstanding thus avoiding any angry clientele. Tell us about a time you had to deal with a last-minute change or unexpected situation when planning an event.

The unexpected is always expected in this industry. - utilising past experience and a professional team is key. For example, we were in a venue at 4th floor and we were taking materials up in the elevator, but, there was a technical issue and the elevator stopped. We had a monumental panic but we had to improvise and hired 40 extra manpower to carry the materials from ground to the 4th floor - it’s a miracle all was completed in time.

What are some of the ways you measure event success?

The brides smile; her facial reaction as she comes to the ballroom for rehearsal checking on the venue décor and placement. Her glowing face shows that we have made her dreams come to reality and some brides have shed tears of joy as they were checking out the venue. After all of the long hours the brides gratitude and joy becomes the moment of all moments for a wedding planner.

Have you ever planned multiple events at the same time? How did you prioritise your time and resources to meet critical deadlines?

No.I do not believe multiple events should be happening at the same time, We always have 14 days break between our events. It’s the most important day of one’s life so full attention and dedication is key as they’ve entrusted us to fulfill their dream.

How many weddings have you participated in?

A lot. In my early years we were doing a lot of weddings but with Moment’s wedding and events, our focus is quality in large scale wedding which needs more preparation and attention to detail.

Do you have a portfolio of weddings that you’ve recently done that Bridesto-be can browse?

Yes. We schedule private viewing upon clients enquiry for wedding décor and our creative themes. We do it in the showroom only, not on social media platforms for privacy purposes.

How would you describe your design style? (e.g. traditional, modern, rustic, organic) www.momentsweddings.events @momentseventsco

Futuristic actually. We like to play creatively with something old, something modern and something new - unexpected to ensure every brides fantasy is executed in an amazing way. We design their moments. Which flowers would you recommend based on the time of year/season and colour palette?

For Autumn, Asiatic Lily , Carnation and Dahlia for bountiful bloom full of life. Winter I would recommend Amaryllis, Narcissus paperwhite and Calla Lily in burgundy is forever appealing. Peonies and Ranunculus are the go-to for Spring. For summer, Veronica and Freesia combo, but also Hydrangea is beautiful. However, mainly the flowers go with preferences and are aligned to the desired theme.

If I gave you a picture of a bouquet and/or centerpiece that I like, can you recreate it?

Our goal is always to create a beautiful colourful floral arrangement that will complement clients’ style uniquely and based on the theme therefore we curate rather than duplicate.

What other décor elements can you provide?

We do not provide décor elements as we actually build the wedding from scratch. Everything is customised and selected in exquisite detail covering everything from the Stage, Kosha, table, chairs, floral décor, hanging elements, lighting and sounds etc.. all of this has to be as per the wedding theme.

Do you create sample arrangements before signing a contract?

We create a mood board presentation with samples for every single element that will be used during the wedding.

Can you assist with the preservation of the bouquet after the wedding? If not, can you recommend someone?

This is not something we do and it’s not available in Qatar. What happens is if there’s a request of preservation we get the bouquet preserved from Holland before the wedding. This can last for a minimum of 5 years to 15 years depending on storage condition.
