Design Concept.

Site Analysis.

The building concept aims to harmoniously blend traditional architectural elements with modern design principles. Emphasizing the integration of modern technology, the design prioritizes productivity and well-being. Local materials and patterns are carefully selected to reflect the locality and add a sense of place.

nature elements inside the building

To address modern human needs, the building will prioritize sustainability. It will incorporate energy-efficient systems, such as solar panels. Natural lighting and cross-ventilation will be maximized to create a healthier and more comfortable workspace, promoting employee well-being. To connect occupants with nature, the building will incorporate biophilic design principles. Green spaces, such as internal courtyards which will provide a refreshing and calming atmosphere.

Antare Art Gallery :

Living in and amongst the art Located in the contoured area of Embung Tambakboyo, Antare emerges as an art gallery offering a unique spatial and artistic experience. Embracing the concept of "in between," visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of the natural elements surrounding them. This is achieved through the open spaces within the building, facilitated by transparent glass, partitions, and balconies. Moreover, the presence of a reflecting pool in the courtyard creates an illusion, making visitors feel intimately connected with the embung, eliminating any perceived distance.

Storyline. Normal

Confused

Isolated

In this space, the atmosphere depicts the normal conditions before the pandemic began. People could interact freely in this open and airy space.

Visitors are taken aback by the drastic transition from the previous room. The room becomes dark, narrow, and winding, creating a sense of confusion.

Illustrating a state of separation from family, visitors feel isolated as their view is limited and blurred by distance.

Hardship

Adapting

Healing

This room is vast in scale with numerous elevations, portraying the long and exhausting journey of healthcare workers. It showcases displays of the stories of these healthcare workers who have struggled.

Shaped like a calming transitional corridor, this space guides and soothes. There's a view from one side, offering a glimpse of nature as a subtle spoiler for the end of journey.

An open space facing the river, symbolizing the current hopeful conditions while honoring those who have fallen. Visitors can enjoy the view while engaging in conversations with others, reminiscent of a return to normalcy.
