The project goal is to create a sample book of photo textures taken from the Bovisa district: above each texture, a specific graphic treatment si developed to give an optical effect. The first part reports an excerpt from Italo Calvino's "Le cittĂ Invisibili", specifically talking about the imaginary city of Maurilia, which is visualized by graphic collages.

1# GIVE YOU A REGULAR WAY BRAND NEW
The first concept refers to the function of this product, i.e to soften lips, trough the transiction of geometric graphic textures from irregular to regular. Two different versions are proposed: one shows the texture transiction, which can possibly be printed with special ink to give a tactile feedback; the second one is printed using a double layer, one with normal ink, showing the regular texture, and the second superimposed and using thermochromic ink, which shows the irregular texture and disappears due to the heat of the finger’s touch. The title plays with the generic italian name for protective lipstick “Burro Cacao” (literally Cocoa Butter) and the a song by a well-known italian singer, Carmen Consoli. This concept uses excerpts of poems and songs talking about the mouth.

100 RAPID SECONDS
This project requires to conceptualize a TV format of 100 seconds duration with a defined purpose. The proposed format refers to singles and students, who live alone and want to eat healthy, cooking simple and tasty dishes. The name plays with the double-meaning of the italian word “secondo” that means “second” but also the second course of a meal: in every episode a healthy , fast and simple to cook recipe is explained. This video shows a raw pilot episod, with an hypothetical spot of the format together with its web site at the end. Sofware used: Adobe After Effects

This short film aims to document a period of the life and career of Uliano Luca: Lucas is a famous Milan photo reporter. It concentrates on his youth in the ‘60, when he started tp shoot pictures around Milan and frequent the Brera district and its Jamaica bar, populated by artists and journalists: together with a series of digital track inside his pictures, the photographer’s words document the “smoky” atmosphere and the people of that period. INDICATOR OF DIRECTION CHANGE FOR NUNS
Starting from the “Catalog of Unfindable Objects” by Jacques Carelman, the workshop required to create a context of use for one of these objects through an animation: in this case the object is an indicator of direction change for nuns who wear big hats, composed by two lights and a switch for turning on and off. The video’s setting resembles television commercials, showing several unreal situations where this object can be used. Sofware used: Adobe Flash

URSONATE BY KURT SCHWITTERS (1924-25)
This short animation aims to “give life” to the Ursonate(Die Sonate In Urlaten), a long chain of repetitive and unsignificant sounds written to be interpreted by voice with different intonations. The type motion focuses on the facial expressions caused by the lectures of the different verses, inspiring an hypothetical argument between two faces that ends in happiness. GO DAI (THE BIG FIVE)
“Go Dai” is the name of the five natural elements of traditional japanese philosophy: earth, fire, wind, water and spirit (soprannatural things). Exploring the Trapcode plugins, the work aims to digitally reproducing these elements, moving them following the soundtrack’s beat; this soundtrack was created ad hoc starting from 5 sounds reproducing “groove” of that element. The animation ends with the appearance of the “Gorinto”, a holy japanese sculpture that represents the five elements altogether. Sofware used: Adobe After Effects

THE BODY’S EYES
This project aims to transmit the sense of proprioception, the capacity to feel and recognize our own body in the space; the animation shows the point of view of a cube, trying to give a perception of its size and the space around through an obstacle course . The obstacles are solid words of sensations linked to the feeling of instability and balance and inspired by a chapter of "The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat" of Oliver Sacks. The concept aims to take advantage of the waiting time inside the elevator, providing information trough multi-touch mirrors on the walls. Due to the high cost of such an elevator and to focus the information in a specific context we decided to specialize the concept for the case of cruise ship elevators. In this way the passengers can be informed about the organized events of the day and which facilities one can find at the selected floor during lifting up. The images are draft models to show an hypothetical graphic interface. Sofware used: Rhino

THE (RED) INTERACTION
This work requires to design a digital simulation of an application for the Microsoft multi-touch table; we choose one of the ten millenium development goals of the Microsoft Imagine Cup, related to combat Aids, malaria and other diseases We worked on it bringing the (RED) Products’ world on Surface platform (www.joinred.com). We projected and designed the full interactive interface: this application can be used only by a cube that has tag-codes on its three faces; Surface recognizes these codes an allows the user to enter the section titled on the opposite face.
