New Procedure for Locating Holds Begins Sept. 1, 2015 The label will be changed for all materials on hold for pickup by customers beginning September 1. For confidentiality purposes, the holds label will no longer list your full name. Instead, the label will list your initials followed by the last seven digits of your library card number. For example: John Smith’s library card number is 22769390012345 His label will read: SJ0012345 All else about the process will remain the same: • The materials will be filed alphabetically by last and then first initial; • You can still find your materials on your branch’s holds shelves; • You can still use self-check computers to check out your books as long as you have your library card. For more details or help finding your holds, please talk to library staff.
