Summer Reading Adventure June 23 - September 2
Read Over the Summer and Earn Great Prizes Hey Kids! Summer is a great time to read for the fun of it. Explore stuff you’re interested in like insects or rock climbing or meet magical creatures in the pages of a book … your choice, your adventure. To earn great prizes you must read a certain number of books depending on your age: • Preschool-third grade read 15 books; • Grades 4-6 read 10 books; • Grades 7-12 read five books.
To participate 1. Register online at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/library; 2. Complete a paper or online reading log and read either 15, 10 or five books depending on your age. (Our youngest readers can have books read to them.); 3. Visit a library by September 2 to pick up your coupon book. If you use a paper log, please bring it with you; 4. Use the coupons to play minigolf; eat ice cream; watch a soccer game and more!
Don’t forget to check the event listings inside for great summer activities. For more information and reading lists, check our website.
