Advancing Innovative Curriculum and Supporting Lifelong Learning Through the Jesuit Mission

As a member of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU), Fairfield Dolan is committed to developing ethical leaders with a global mindset. This past year Dolan participated in two AJCU initiatives to support this mission.

In collaboration with other U.S. business schools, Dolan partnered to initiate a project titled “An Inspirational Paradigm for Jesuit Business Education.” The goal of the project is to promote innovative and engaging curricular course materials that inspire the idealism of business students and integrate the social justice and responsibility values of Jesuit social teaching into learning experiences. Through the program, Fairfield Dolan has contributed to raising more than $200,000 and the group has awarded its first round of grants to business educators around the world.

In another partnership, Dolan joined the Jesuit Promise for Lifelong Learning: a program that allows alumni of Jesuit business programs the opportunity to audit courses free of charge at any of the participating AJCU business schools, space permitting. Fairfield Dolan recognizes that once students leave with their degrees, the need for continued learning and professional development doesn’t stop. Dolan is now one of 16 participating AJCU institutions.

Alumni who take advantage of this opportunity will be classified as non-matriculating guest students; this important benefit will extend academic opportunities for professionals long past graduation. l D
