FINANCE WEALTH
Introduction
The Greenleaf Wealth Development Club for Student Investors is a special program designed for students of color interested in learning more about finance. Club Members will be students from the Greater Kalamazoo area. The club was created to promote diversity and inclusivity within Greenleaf Trust and the financial industry by increasing the number of students of color considering finance as a college major or career. There are no dues, no fees for joining, and no expectations beyond an interest and engagement in learning finance and investment concepts—but the rewards are very real.

Once a month, Club Members will meet with Greenleaf Trust investment professionals, Greenleaf Trust Wealth Developers, and dedicated advisors. Students will learn about investing in the stock market, stocks, bonds, Wall Street, and other financial concepts. They’ll also discover why these are important to their future. The program will explore topics such as career path options and selecting a college major in finance and investments.
The Greenleaf Wealth Development Club will meet on the second Saturday of each month for two hours, from September 2023 through May 2024. Mark your calendars for September 9, 2023!
A Rewarding Financial Experience EXPERIENCE
A ceremony will be hosted in honor of Club Members completing the program. After successful completion, each Club Member will be awarded access to their own live trading account app with up to $500 to invest as they choose, under the guidance of a Greenleaf Trust Wealth Developer. The investment account, as well as everything in it, belongs to the student and will be available for withdrawal at age 21. All funds are provided by Greenleaf Trust to allow each student the opportunity to experience investing, first-hand.
