Welcome to the Fair THE FAIRWAY ORIGIN STORY In 1996, a wildly ambitious point guard out of the University of Wisconsin and his best friend set out on a journey to help their community achieve the dream of homeownership. CEO, Steve Jacobson and his colleague and childhood best friend, Randy Cross founded Fairway Independent Mortgage Company in their hometown of Madison, Wisconsin. What began as a single branch looking to help Americans achieve the dream of homeownership — quickly grew to over 10,000 team members, 2,800 loan producers, and 700 branch & satellite locations nationwide.

Fairway Cares is a charitable arm of Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation. Through employee referrals, Fairway Cares offers comfort and encouragement to those facing a critical illness, physical trauma, or grieving o a loved one. Along with underwriting the operating costs, so 100% of donated funds go directly to those in need — Fairway Cares sends care packages and financial assistance to our Fairway families in need.

A large part of our Fairway culture is celebrating JOY through acts of caring, kindness, and happiness within our communities across our #FairwayNation Introduced in May 2016, #FairwayJOY and #FairwayJOY Week are initiatives created to celebrate and cultivate Fairway’s joyfulness.
