SCORE A FAIRWAY CATERED SUPER BOWL PARTY SERVING UP TO 20 OR A 60” 3D PLASMA TV FROM BEST BUY BY NAMING A WINNING LINE UP OF INGREDIENTS FOR THE FAIRWAY 1ST & 10 SUPER HERO Contest Co-Sponsored by Daily News, Fairway Market and Best Buy starts Sunday (New York, NY) Friday, January 27, 2012 – Instead of winning plays, Giants fans should start thinking about winning ingredients for a special Super Bowl contest co-sponsored by Fairway Market and the Daily News. The Eli Manning 1st & 10 Super Hero (sandwich) needs to be filled with 10 foodstuffs (in honor of star quarterback Eli Manning’s number) and must include items honoring both the Giants NY-NJ roots and Manning’s Louisiana heritage. Of course, it also has to taste delicious. The contest grand prize winner, to be determined by judges from Fairway and the Daily News, will win a Panasonic 60 inch 3D Plasma TV from Best Buy. Second place winner will get a catered Super Bowl party serving up to 20 from the iconic New York-based grocery market. In addition, the winning sandwich will be sold at Fairway up through Super Bowl Sunday, so that other fans can also enjoy it during the Big Game. “Here’s a chance to really flex your football and food muscles by coming up with the ultimate sandwich to enjoy while watching the most thrilling sporting event in the world and, of course, rooting for our beloved Giants to win,” said Howie Glickberg, CEO of Fairway. “Food is synonymous with Super Bowl Sunday, so we are excited to join with the Daily News and offer the best football fans of all an opportunity to enjoy the best catered party of all.” The contest runs from Sunday, January 29 to Wednesday, Feb. 1. Interested individuals can click to the contest entry page in the Daily News on Monday, January 30th, Tuesday, January 31st and Wednesday, February 1st or email recipes to www.superhero@dailynews.com
