RAPID INTERLOCK SYSTEM The newest technology from Bobster速 - the Rapid Interlock System (R.I.S.) - allows for a quick conversion between sunglasses and goggles. Most importantly the technology for changing back and forth from sunglass to goggle is hidden so only you know it is a functional goggle when using for everyday use.

GRILAMID TR90 FRAMES Grilamid is a nylon compound that offers increased durability while being extremely lightweight. These frames are flexible and allow the temples to form to your head and face to provide a more comfortable fit.

BASE CURVE Base curve is the front curvature of any lens. The higher the base curve (4-12 base), the more curved the lenses are, thus making the frame wrap around closer to the sides of the head.

COVERT速 FOAM The low profile, removable Covert速 foam protects the eyes from wind and debris without the look of a bulky goggle. Specifically designed to be hidden from others while in use to provide a sense of style while wearing a highly functional eyewear.

CLOSED CELL FOAM This type of foam provides low water absorption while being weather and chemical resistant. It also has a tendency to be longer lasting than open cell foam.

OPEN CELL FOAM Lighter, softer and more sweat absorbing than closed cell foam, open cell foam also has a tendency to provide a better seal or fit because it is softer and conforms to the contours of the face.

NEOPRENE FOAM This foam is a flexible and durable synthetic rubber sponge that provides good thermal and moisture insulation.

MULTI-LAYER MIRROR COATING Multi-layer mirror coating is composed of extremely thin layers of titanium and silicon oxides. This coating eliminates up to 97% of infrared rays and 100% of harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. For more information turn to page 52.

Personal Eye ProtectionThis is typically the standard/ specifications used by Europe for safety glasses/goggles including use as military eyewear.

Protective Spectacles/goggles for Motorcycle and Moped Users. Bobster® off-road goggles have been tested according to the European CE standards for use on a motorcycle or moped.

Certain Bobster® styles meet the U.S. military’s Ballistic Fragmentation Test according to the MCEPS (Military Combat Eye Protection Systems) requirements, which superceed ballistic testing standards MIL-V-43511C and MIL-PRF-31013.

Select models of Bobster® are ANSI Z87 approved for use as safety glasses and are ideal for law-enforcement, military, construction, laboratory, or industrial usage. These glasses were put through rigorous testing for optical quality, impact resistance, ignition rates and more, making them appropriate for use as safety glasses.

Approved by OSHA for use as safety glasses, but please check with your supervisor to ensure it protects against the hazards specific to your job.

Glasses are impacted with a 0.15 caliber, 5.8 grain, T37 shaped projectile at 640 to 660 feet per second. Goggles are impacted 3 times with a 0.22 caliber, 17 grain, T37 shaped projectile at 550 to 560 feet per second. Eyewear is considered a failure if any parts of the frame or lenses crack or separate from one another

BOBSTER® TECHNOLOGY

ACTIVE CELL TECHNOLOGY Bobster® photochromic lenses are available in a variety of eyewear styles and are precisely designed to automatically darken/lighten to the amount of ultraviolet (uV) light that reaches the lens. The advantage of a photochromic lens is that you can wear your eyewear all day and not have to carry multiple sets of eyewear with you or change your lenses according to light conditions. Bobster® offers a wide range of eyewear with photochromic lenses that have varying transmission rates. The higher the visible light transmission (VlT) rate the lighter the lens color. Clear lenses have a transmission rate between 80%–100% and typical smoked lenses have a transmission rate between 8–18%. Please refer to individual eyewear for more VlT information.
