Challenge There are many variations of batik. Batik has unique characteristic.

Solution I start illustrate batik using simple shape at the first time and more complicated shape in the next step to understand the value of the aesthetic of batik.

Challenge Experience is needed for digital painting.

Book Jacket Objective Create book Jacket for Manusia Setengah Salmon book.

Challenge The design of book jacket must be related to story in the book, have a meaning & interesting.

Solution I had to read the whole story in manusia setengah salmon book to undestand the meaning of “manusia setengah salmon�. I got one important main point that Raditya Dika want tell to us from his book.

Mini Mart Rebranding Objective Minimart rebranding.

Challenge The design had to be done have to be related to people’s class.

Solution After some researches, i come up with an idea to change the concept of the mini mart based on the costumer comment about the mini mart, since the item that they sell can be considered expensive like alcoholic.

Calendar 2015 Objective Create calendar only using typhography.

Challenge I have to use only 5 typeface & no shape & object that allowed in this project.

Solution I chose dota2 as my theme because i know very well about that game and in dota 2 there are many heroes with different characteristic that i can use for this project.

Challenge Current indonesia’s identity card has bad typography. The concept have to follow Indonesia’s standard.

Kewpie Repackaging Objective Redesign package of Kewpie.

Challenge Kewpie packaging looks like baby soap. The logo not represent the product itself.

Solution I make new logo for new packaging. The New logo make the Kewpie looks more classy.

Background

current kewpie’s packaging

Kewpie mayonnaise was prominently mentioned in Wednesday’s Times Dining section article on MSG and its ubiquitous presence in processed foods. We only knew Kewpies as those eerily big-eyed dolls - what was this mayonnaise? According to Kewpie’s official website, mayonnaise was first introduced to Japan in 1925. Since then, Kewpie mayo has been one of the predominant household condiments there. People often use it on vegetables and as a salad dressing.

The Idea of new logo

I choose red color as the background color for the logo. Red color taken from japan flag color because Kewpie is a product that comes from japan.

Yellow color from the logo represent egg yolk. This color shows that this mayonaise is high-quality product.

New typhography for new logo. consider this mayonnaise price, I make a new logo that looks more classy.

Challenge Every big brand of gadget have good advertising to invite people to use gadget.

Cup of Java Objective Rebranding Cup of Java including logo, packaging, advertising and etc.

Challenge Current Cup of Java packaging is not interesting at all. but, the taste really good.

Solution I do some research about coffee branding on behance & come to Sarinah to look directly how Cup of Java looks like. There is a coffee shop near by from Cup of Java Place, I’ve visited both shop and thinking about the solution.
