MAY 2019 We are a family of faith, sharing God’s love in a spirit of hope.

Join us on May 15th at 6 pm for the Children’s Spring Program: Unselfie! The children have been working had all spring on their musical and are excited to share it with their church family. We hope you will make time to see this wonderful production and hang around afterwards for some ice cream fun! Then join us the following Wednesday night, May 22, at 5:30 PM, for our annual church-wide cookout to kick off summer!

This year’s VBS will be Monday, June 3rd, through Thursday, June 6th. We need you! All ages and abilities welcome!

Join us on May 19 as we celebrate our graduating high school seniors! Bring a dish to share for our potluck lunch honoring thee grads. Let’s join together to bless them and remind them how important their journeys are to our faith community. Any youth interested in serving as helpers for VBS, please let Sharon know ASAP!

To go along with this month’s theme of Welcoming Neighbors & NEIGHBORS Friends to Faith , we & FRIENDS have a lot of opportunities to invite others to come with us to Faith and celebrate our vibrant community. We hope you’ll invite friends & neighbors!

David Garrard the Magician will be back on May 19th at 5 PM in our sanctuary! Invite your friends and your neighbors to an amazing show that includes all new magic tricks this year Following the show, we will have a backyard cookout with hotdogs and more. We have been invited to help kick off Scott County’s summer feeding program again! Sign up with Sharon Felton to serve on May 31 from 11-1! We will be leading games, face painting, crafts, and all sorts of other fun!

The J.O.Y. group (35 of us) enjoyed a scenic drive to the Kentucky Castle for a mouth-watering lunch last week! As May blooms, please join us for our monthly senior adult lunch on Monday, May 20, at 11:00. Continuing on our food theme, mark your calendar for our May outing—lunch at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill on Friday, May 24. Enjoy a beautiful drive & lunch with Kentucky dishes prepared with ingredients straight from the garden & local farmers. Remember, we may not have it all together, but TOGETHER we have it all. — Dale

A former CBF Moderator and pastor, Rev. Kasey Jones served for more than 10 years as senior pastor of National Baptist Memorial Church in Washington, D.C. Jones was the historic congregation’s first female and first African-American senior pastor. Please join us in welcoming Rev. Jones to Faith.
