What an exciting first Sunday of Advent as we had the joy of baptizing Logan Lookadoo!! We are so excited about Logan’s new life in Christ!
Everything has changed! We are entering into the time of the color purple. Purple is an important and serious color because it is the color of kings and queens. And something serious is about to happen. We are getting ready to welcome a king. But this is a different king than any other king that has ever been. This king was a baby who was born in a barn! December is an exciting month as we get ready for the mystery of Christmas. Here are a few things to remember as we journey together through Advent.
THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER
The children have been working hard and are excited to present their Best Christmas Pageant play to the church family on Wednesday, December 7, during our weekly Wednesday night gatherings in the RA. We will enjoy dinner together at 5:30 and then the children will present their play as the program. It will be a fun evening full of smiles and laughter so we hope that you will join us.
POLAR EXRESS PANCAKE BREAKFAST
We are looking at putting together a morning full of treats and crafts for the children on Tuesday, December 20. We will begin the day with pancakes and play games and crafts around the movie Polar Express! More details to come so be on the lookout for emails and information in the bulletin.
CHILDREN’S BOOK OF THE MONTH
It's a heartwarming tale about a dog named Claude who seems to have everything. On Christmas morning Claude shares everything he can with a homeless dog named Bummer who hasn't anything, not even a family who loves him. It is a beautiful reminder of being thankful for all that we have been given by sharing it with others.
Advent is one of my very favorite times!! So much to prepare and plan and so much good time with people you love all in a short four weeks! I hope you will be able to join us over the next month for all of our preparations and celebrations! Our family of Faith has much love to share and this is a perfect time to bring friends and neighbors to church!

Christmas is upon us and it’s time to celebrate the season! As C.S. Lewis says, “Once in our world, a stable had something in it that was bigger than the whole world.” Rick Warren says, “Peace with God, peace with others, and peace in your own heart!”
Christmas reminds us of the birth of our Savior and the immense love he had for us. It is an important time to share with your family, friends and loved ones. Hopefully, Christmas will inspire people to remember the incredible sacrifice God made by sending Jesus in the world for us and allowing us to keep our energy high through the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
During the August business meeting we elected officers , coordinators, and committee and team members to serve one or three year terms. This is the first year we are operating under our new bylaws so the process was a little different. Notably, committee and team chairs were not presented as they are now elected from within the group. These groups have had time to do that so we are pleased to share this year’ s chairs and officers with you.
