IN THIS ISSUE “What is God’s intention for your life? That, and that alone, is what matters.”

A

s I listen to the life stories of church and community leaders, parents, and youth, I am often encouraged by the tenacity, faith, and commitment embraced by these individuals as they navigate the path of their lives. No matter how great the challenge, determination and dedication are key components to accomplishing the plans God has for you. In this edition of FAITH, Dr. Max A. Miller, Pastor of Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, shares details about his passion for serving the church and community. Having experienced life-changing illnesses, he is living his life on purpose and giving God his all. Our event coverage focuses on the Women of Valour Victory Prayer Breakfast, hosted by Dr. Allison Wiley, Founder of Women of Valour. During the breakfast, women were inspired to stand on the promises of God and live the victorious lives that God intends for us to live. What is God’s intention for your life? That, and that alone, is what matters. We serve an intentional God. Travis Green sings about the intentionality of God in his song Intentional: All things are working for my good Cause He’s intentional Never failing. As your read the features and other articles in this issue of FAITH, it is my hope that you are encourged to be intentional as you live your life with purpose and on purpose. Be Blessed and Be a Blessing!

“I love reminding women that God cannot be stopped and that they are victorious through Christ.”

W

omen of Valour (WOV) founder and author of the book, Be Lifted, Dr. Allison Wiley, hosted the Women of Valour Victory Prayer Breakfast on March 11th at the Sugar Land Marriott Town Square. Attendees were inspired by uplifting prayer led by Dr. Wiley and praise and worship with Gospel recording artist Vicki Yohe. Pastor Rhema Ehiemere delivered the preached Word for the occasion. Dr. Allison Wiley founded Women of Valour in January of 2016. When asked what led her to organize WOV, Dr. Wiley says, “Honestly, I can’t take credit for this. God identified the need. Many women don’t understand where they stand in and with Christ Jesus. Christ’s death and resurrection gave us the gift of victory and the blessing of overcoming all negative situations. We are winners. If we stand firm in authority and stay true to the Word of God, we’ll have many more testimonies. I love reminding women that God cannot be stopped and that they are victorious through Christ.” Many who attended this year’s breakfast shared testimonies of being delivered from failure and hopelessness. Burdens were lifted and women walked out as conquerors determined to trust God and stand on His Word. Make plans to attend the next Women of Valour Prayer Breakfast in the Spring of 2018.
