I want to take a step forward to raise awareness on our potential to make an impact to improve environment through architecture and design. I want to promote culture diversity by intergrating different cultural aspects into design thinking. I believe globalization will open up many new opportunities. Differences in culture bring out unique design knowledge that connects us at a global scale.

SHUGO

SHŪGŌ 集合 Shūgō Assembly Inspired by the interplay between a koi fish and a lotus flower, Shūgō combines the concepts of individuality and collaboration. Each marking on a koi fish is unique, but combine in this design to create an intricate and beautiful pattern. Similarly, hospitality design features places where individuals gather together to create unique and meaningful experiences. Each koi fish symbolizes the harmony and unity found in the hospitality market. In feng shui koi are believed to bring harmony and happiness, while purple lotus flowers represent fortune, peace, and a spiritual connection. The color palette represents the calming influence of a koi pond contrasted with the vivid violet and bright orange of the lotus flowers, creating rhythm in the design. The texture is inspired by the graceful swirling movement of the brush strokes of Japanese calligraphy and the calming movement of water. Shūgō will transform any interior space into a whimsical gathering place and create a one of a kind experience.

MA AN ♦

MAAN Hotel is an adaptive reuse team project for NEWH Green Voice Competition. We converted the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art into a luxurious five stars hotel. The Museum was selected due to its close distance to Rabat’s tourist and local attractions as well as near

By public transportation. MAAN Hotel used shipping containers to improve the existing building’s volume and footprint. The logo is inspired by the shipping container arrangement on the rooftop. The pattern is from an octagram which is in Islamic architecture, it is a Qur’anic symbol of Paradise. The name MAAN means water in Arabic. The concept is driven from the hotel is a rarity gem in the middle of Rabat Desert land. Water is a rare gem in the desert itself. The concept is also play on the water narrative of nourishment, revive, rejuvenate that the MAAN hotel amenities and design aims to achieve to clients.

Responsible is to design rooftop bar, hoteling level one, three, and four. My responsibility is to design lobby, branding identity, hoteling level two, and five. MAAN Hotel is in Rabat, Morocco. One of the upcoming secondary cities in the world. Morocco consists of majority religious as Muslim with Jew, Christian, Hindu as minority. In addition to the indigenous Amazing (Berbers), the country has hosted a variety of cultures coming from the East (Phoenicians and Arabs), the

South (Sub-Saharan Africans), and the North (Romans and Spanish Andalusian – both Muslim and Jewish) throughout history. Today, the majority of the population identifies as Berber or Arab and the country’s official language is Arabic. Rabat’s street consists of beautiful ocean blue and white paint for house exterior. Doors are often a statement with a bold contrasting color. In MAAN, the project focus on bringing to contrasting white and blue to tie in with local street. The color blue
