Architecture P o r t fo l i o Mohmaed Faizal Architect
Summary Equipped with a degree in architecture combined with extraordinary zeal to shine in chosen field I spent the first few years of my bachelors learning the nuts and bolts of my profession. I did get to float between diverse roles as an Architect & Interior Designer . It was in the formative years, that i realized that there were incredible options within the profession. I did get to work on building types from divergent market sectors like residential, commercial, hospitality, institutions and retails. I realize that Architecture was not a mere job , but a life style. The job just grew on me. I was excited to watch my projects getting built. It was wonderfully liberating to present innovative solutions. This resulted in a definite sense of artistic freedom, personal expression and ownership. I also recognized that the job was constantly evolving and that Architecture is one of the few professions that is never static. I continue to remain proud that architects created new design concepts that push how modern day construction is executed. I am passionate about travelling , photography & culinary apart from architecture.

King Abdul Aziz Road - Makkah The King Abdul Aziz Road (KAAR) Boulevard development is a 3.65km Boulevard development stretching from the existing Mecca Central station in Al Zahreen district via Hindawiyah district, leading directly to Al Haram on a West-East trajectory. The boulevard and proposed masterplan is being developed to respond to the current and future population increase in Makkah’s population over the next 2 decades and the corresponding demands this brings. The KAAR development will comprise of a central boulevard that provides a safe, convenient and attractive thoroughfare leading directly to the Haram. To support the development, an integrative approach is being taken to improve accessibility to and from the area. Proposals are in place for the development of a new high speed rail from Jeddah/ Medina, terminating at Haramain station (formerly known as Mecca Central). To facilitate the transfer of pilgrims to Al Haram, a metro style LRT system will carry pilgrims along the boulevard. A supporting high capacity road system will provide relief to traffic on the Umm Al Qura road.
