LEVEL 8: Glass house (agriculture), mini indoor soccer)

TOEKOMS consists of a basement, a ground floor, level 1-8. Basement and ground floor focuses on public spaces for exhibition and an inviting landscape for pedestian access to bring people in the exhibition hall. The multi-purpose hall is also a sports and performance hall where students collaborate in learing while doing activities they love to do.

LEVEL 7: Technical room (lighting, sound, etc), prep room, seating area, look-out.

Level 1 includes digital space (VR Lab, movie space, digital hubs), while level 2 includes noisy specialis spaces such as industrial workshop and music/drama/media/dance.

LEVEL 6: Theatre (guest speaker, teleconference, movie, performance), prep room, lookout, seating

Level 3-5 is where the GLAs happen. The GLAs for grade 10-12 are below because it is seen as “closer to the real world” and the workshop spaces since their program includes more electives and practices PBL. Meanwhile, GLAs for 7-9 are on level 5. Level 4 is a social floor. It consists of social studies and english classrooms for all grades with a speech corner.

LEVEL 5: GLAs math science - environment grade 7-9, math & science corner, science lab.

LEVEL 4: Social floor: GLAs social studies and english, PBL w/s, group and individual study spaces, look-outs.

Level 6 & 7 is for theatre that supports the school’s pedagogy of connecting to the real world by having guest speakers and teleconference.

LEVEL 3: GLAs math - science environment grade 10-12, science lab, library, seating areas, group and individual study spaces.

Level 8 is for agricultural purposes with a glass house provided.

LEVEL 2: Lunch space (indoor & outdoor), seating areas, creativity hubs, Specialist Spaces (noisy areas).

LEVEL 1: VR lab, Computer lab, digital hub, movie room, Specialist Spaces (quiet areas), teacher’s lounge, admin.

GROUND FLOOR: Reception, security, marketing office, loading dock, drop off zone, pedestrian entry, garden, terraced seating to MPH, seating areas.

BASEMENT: Multi-purpose Hall (exhibition, performance, sports hall), terraced seating, prep rooms, services, clinic, storage.
















The materials used as the structure is concrete, and the walls are comprised by African local clay bricks and smoked bricks that results in two colours (grey and brown). Grey smoked bricks are used on the exterior because it matches a modern concept better than brown clay bricks. Some interior walls use clay bricks to prevent monotonous walls in the school and avoid understimulation for the students. unde Timber are mainly used as flooring materials such as in the Multi-purpose Hall as well as music / drama / media / dance classrooms, and walkways. The railings are mostly glass with steel structure to avoid blocking views since the school is directed to see the park and the sea. Floorings cointain fine condcrete, timber, carpeted floor, classroom tiles, and wet are tiles. The roof is made out of greenroof structure with a hint ot glass for the glass house that is also shaped to make an aesthetic accent on the rooftop.
