What our students had to say How has the RA position helped you prepare you for life after UNF? it has helped me grow as an individual, helping me learn important skills that I was previously lacking on, such as time management and leadership. I learned how to better handle my course work and my duties as an RA to make my time more valuable and more meaningful so I can not only keep myself sane, but also be able to give the time to be present for my residents. I learned how to speak up more and how to be able to take control of a situation, which will help me in a working environment later in life once I have left UNF. I also learned how to work within a chain of command, how to properly talk to and relate to my supervisors and how to keep them updated on what was going on in my floor and how to properly handle it - Ethan, Osprey Landing RA.
How has the RA position helped you to write your story at UNF? This position has helped me feel like I am a part of something bigger and that I am making an impact in other people’s lives. I feel like in my major it’s easy to become consumed in myself and what I am doing but being an RA has made me more aware of other people and how I can help them. I feel like this job has been a very big part of my life, bigger than I thought it would be. I think that I have had many experiences that have helped shaped me and shaped my experience at UNF but by far the most influential and most meaningful experience has been being an RA -- Ali, Osprey Hall RA
