comedy
Stewart Francis Pun Gent Thursday 17th December 8pm
"A brilliant comic brain... this stand-up cracks some of the best one liners I've ever heard" The Guardian "Perfectly crafted gags" The Sunday Times
With Stewart Francis it’s all about puns: Stewart has devoted this show to his father. So dad – if you’re up there? As for having kids himself he’s decided he doesn’t want any... anyone who wants some let him know and he’ll drop them off. On an unrelated matter, Stewart likes what mechanics wear... overall. And he’s a gent. If time is money, Stewart’s the man to do your shopping for he’ll fill every minute with comedy bargains in the form of non-stop quick-fire gags, rarely giving you time to cease giggling until the next one starts. Mark Thomas: Trespass Tuesday 1st March 8pm
Human Rights Activist, political campaigner and comedian, Mark Thomas is a One of the few stand-ups still with an edgy alternative approach to comedy. An observational comic, Mark’s observations tend to revolve around the crusading anti-corporate, anti-greed investigations he undertakes.
12
Trespass carries on from where Mark’s previous show 100 Acts of Minor Dissent left off. It is his usual odd mix of theatre, stand up, activism, a dash of journalism, activism and dollop of mayhem.
If the ramblers of the 1930’s were here now what would they do to open up the cities? How do we turn the skyscrapers and corporate squares into our playgrounds? Tresspass sets out to try and carve a small space in the urban world where mischief and random chance can lurk. No one knows where this show is going to end up! 16+

Carnevil
comedy
The Circus of Horrors Wednesday 10th February 8pm
The show that stormed into the finals of Britain’s Got Talent & now a West End and World Wide smash is back to mark its 21st Anniversary in spectacular style. Victorian London in 1899 - Jack the Ripper was still at large and this was the age of the Freakshow. A young girl dreams of running away to join the Circus only to see her dream become a nightmare in a decrepit, corpse ridden Carnevil, plagued by a swamp of killer klowns, sword swallowers, demon dwarves and fire limboing acrobats. This phantasmagoria ruled by the undead climaxes in an awesome flaming apocalypse. The story twists and turns with grisly murders and sensational shocks – all interwoven with some of the greatest and most bizarre circus acts on earth, performed by an almighty cast with a forked tongue firmly in each cheek and the devil driven rock n’ roll of Dr Haze & The Interceptors from Hell. If Quentin Tarantino had directed Cirque Du Soleil then you would be only half way there. Age 14+ Includes bizarre circus acts and nudity – not for the screamish!
