Welcome to the Falkirk Tryst Festival, our annual round up of local amateur arts talent. For over fifty years Falkirk and District Arts and Civic Council has supported, promoted and campaigned for the Arts and an enhanced civic amenity for the Falkirk District. Member organisations of FDACC take this opportunity every year to showcase their work in a fortnight of non-stop music, performance, exhibitions and events. We hope you enjoy it! The Falkirk Trysts – a potted history. You may wonder why the Festival is called the “Tryst”, this refers to the famously important livestock markets which at their height, in the 18th century, saw cattle, sheep and horses being brought from all corners of Scotland to Falkirk to find buyers from Scotland and England. www.fdacc.org.uk/ www.trystfestival.org.uk/
