PLUS MC TOM GLOVER 20:00 DOORS FOR 20:30 START KAI SAMRA Award winning comedian Kai Samra has quickly risen to become one of the most exciting acts on the circuit today. Described as ‘a charismatic man with a great story’ (Steve Bennett, Chortle), Samra combines an edgy stage presence, a confident delivery and talks frankly about issues such as class, race and modern culture from an intelligent, unique and fresh perspective. His five-star critically acclaimed debut show ‘Underclass’ was followed by a week long run at Soho Theatre, recommended by The Guardian, The Observer and was in the list of best shows at the Edinburgh Fringe by Fest Mag. He has performed live on BBC Asian Network and been featured on BBC3, ITV2’s Stand Up Sketch Show and was a commissioned writer for BBC Radio 4’s award nominated series Sketchtopia.

VOLCANO THEATRE THE POPULARS 19:30

Join The Populars – four young performers who are throwing a dance party for a divided nation. They are looking to the future and wondering how it will feel when we get there. They have questions for you, things on their minds, and a playlist of great songs that tug at the memory and the muscle fibres. Tell them what you think of the atmosphere, where you last danced your heart out, and who you reckon is the coolest. Expect sweat, sequins, and a thoughtfully upbeat take on what unites or divides us in these uncertain times.

Listening to what theatre ‘should’ be, Volcano Theatre Company promptly ignores it and dances to its own beat. This is promenade theatre at its finest. ***** Broadway Baby A superlative example of immersive theatre *****Edinburgh Festivals Magazine volcanotheatre.co.uk Age guidance: 14+ Tickets: £12/£10

KEIRA MARTIN IN COLLABORATION WITH SIODA ADAMS GOOD BLOOD 19:30

Good Blood looks closely at the relationship of two sisters. Keira and Sioda use dance, live music, song and storytelling to bring hilarious, nostalgic and familiar family scenarios to the stage. A MR AND MRS CLARK PRODUCTION LOUDER IS NOT ALWAYS CLEARER 19:30 Jonny is a teacher, a workshop leader and an avid football fan. He’s just become a father. His friends say that he’s outgoing and that he loves music, festivals and nightclubs. Jonny is deaf. He was born deaf to hearing parents who were afraid that disability would stigmatise their son and the family.

A brilliant exercise in empathy as it allows a hearing audience to briefly experience the world as Cotsen sees and hears it Lyn Gardner, Stage Door A deeply moving piece of theatre. **** The Stage The show uses creative captioning, English and BSL to make it fully accessible for deaf and hearing audiences. mrandmrsclark.co.uk Age guidance: 12+ Tickets: £12/£10

Image : ©Jorge Lizalde.

‘Louder Is Not Always Clearer’ is an honest portrayal of the vulnerability of a deaf man, created and performed by a deaf man. For a hearing audience it is an illuminating and emotional experience. For deaf audience members the show is a familiar tale of misunderstanding and isolation. For all audiences it is a humorous and at times moving story of one man’s attempt to cope, to fit in and be accepted.

Mr and Mrs Clark make new and thought provoking performances that engage and entertain audiences.

Britain wins a protracted war with Europe, but can it win the peace? The rich are getting richer but the poor still starve.
