Support

Our campuses are dynamic, inspiring environments, where collaboration and creativity spark ideas and feed innovation. The Falmouth Campus is nestled in the heart of glorious sub-tropical gardens while the purpose-built Penryn Campus is a contemporary creative hub, and with great travel links between them, you can easily enjoy both.

Libraries and IT

Our two libraries are a trove of books, digital resources, magazines, specialist material and journals. You’ll have access to image banks, news archives, creative databases, e-journals and streamed content. You’ll find a supportive team of librarians, technicians and archivists. There’s a range of study spaces including group study rooms, quiet study spaces and open plan areas with WiFi throughout. Our Penryn library is open 24/7 throughout the term. We also have IT suites on both campuses, plus a range of specialist training suites and a central service desk for support.

Travel

Our focus on green travel makes getting around easy. We work with local transport providers to bring you special student fares and offers on local routes. Dedicated University buses run every ten minutes between the Falmouth and Penryn campuses. We also offer free showers and changing facilities for cyclists, along with secure bike storage facilities.

Food and drink

Both campuses have cafes serving hot and cold meals at very reasonable prices. You’ll also find an eclectic range of street food vans and pop-ups around campus. The Stannary Bar, at the Penryn Campus, hosts everything from open mic and quiz nights through to DJ sets with some of the country’s top artists.

Sports Centre

The Penryn Campus Sports Centre contains a four-court sports hall, large fitness studio and gym. Regular classes run throughout the week, including spinning, yoga, pilates, kettlebells, Boxercise and Zumba. Away from the gym, the Penryn Campus has a multi-use games area and outdoor gym equipment.

Essential supplies

The Shop on our Penryn Campus sells groceries and fresh produce, snacks, newspapers and magazines. Our Falmouth campus Art Shop is stocked with a wide range of stationery and art materials for all mediums.

AMATA

Located in the stunning grounds of the Penryn Campus, the Academy of Music and Theatre Arts (AMATA) is much more than a learning space. It’s a purposebuilt facility and a professional venue which hosts a year-round performance programme, featuring a huge range of acts from outstanding student performances to inspirational visiting artists. What’s more, if you just want to stop and watch the world go by, you can take stock at the AMATA cafe where they serve hot drinks, delicious locally sourced cakes, salads, toasted sandwiches and soups. They also serve a range of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.

Academic facilities

The incredible facilities across both our campuses are accessible to all and designed to help you shape and define the future. Cutting-edge technology combines with traditional techniques across all our departments to give you the toolkit you need to bring your ideas to life, become an industry leading pioneer, and develop a skill set you’ll draw on every day in your professional life.

You’ll find everything from professionalstandard studios, printmaking facilities, life drawing studios and motion capture technology to a live performance venue, production suites and equipment hire facilities.

Grounds

Rich in heritage, the grounds at our campuses blend the old and the new to create visually stunning gardens and a beautiful environment to work in. At Falmouth, explore the peaceful and colourful Fox Rosehill Gardens, while at Penryn, discover the walled garden, fruit producing orchard, Italian garden, 18th century lime avenue and the historic rare rhododendrons

Reprographics

Found at the Penryn Campus, reprographics is open Monday to Friday; services include printing, copying, binding and laminating.
