News of note … KING OF THE GRILL DEADLINE JULY 27 – The entry deadline for the annual King of the Grill Contest scheduled for Saturday, Aug 4 at the Alaska Mining Co. parking lot is this week. Competition will be held for the Best Ribs, Best Sauce, Best Baked Beans, Best Potato Salad and Best Coleslaw. Please call 754-3101 (031-619-3101) to enter for more information.

Splish & Splash Water Park
SUMMER READING PROGRAM – This Friday is the final day of the Summer Reading program for children in grades K-3 at the Post Library. The program is called Reading is Delicious and meets from 1000-1130. Call 753-8817 (031-6908817) for further details. YEOSU EXPO – Discover Seoul in the Community Activity Center, has a limited number of tickets available to the Yeosu Expo this Friday, July 27. Unfortunately, people will have to find their own way to Seoul. The cost is $125 for adults and $95 for children and includes round-trip Bullet Train, Entrance fee and an English-Speaking Guide. Enjoy the Wilds of Camp Humphreys Outdoor Rec is offering an overnight camping trip to the Wilds of Beacon Hill this Friday night. Cost is $100 per family which includes tent, sleeping bags, supper & breakfast for a Family of four. Spend a night under the stars without worries about Korean traffic. Make appointment now for Youth Sports Physicals on August 4th The Health Clinic will be offering Youth Sports & School Physicals on Saturday, Aug 4, but appointments are required. Call the appointment line at 737-CARE to reserve your time. In addition, you will need a form from Parent Central, the school or the front desk of the CDC as well as the child’s shot record and, if they wear them, glasses.
