HELP THE YOUNGER GENERATION TODAY! Seoul American Elementary School (SAES) is looking for at least 50 volunteers to commit to 45 minutes per week to support two programs: Leaders for Literacy and February Frenzy. The Leaders for Literacy program supports grades Pre- K - 2nd, which starts Monday, February 1st and ends Friday, May 27th. The February Frenzy program supports grades 3rd – 5th, which starts Monday, February 1st and ends Friday, March 11th.
14
17
The Leaders for Literacy program focuses on building lite racy skills. Volunteers will read stories, play games using sight words, build phonemic awareness, and ask comprehension questions. Each volunteer must complete the volunteer background check. While the background check is being processed, the volunteer is allowed to work with students in direct sight of the classroom teacher. SAES welcomes all volunteers: active duty military, civilians, dependents, and KSCs. Volunteers can stop by SAES office or call 736-4613. You can also contact Jacqueline.ashmore@pac.dodea.edu via email. We are challenging our community to support our students. Community Spotlight
