Biggest Losers named

Congratulations to Party by the Pound, the team of Staff Sgt. Brian Bentz and Sheri Castro from DPW-Environmental, winners of the 2011 Biggest Losers Contest with a combined loss of 121.8 pounds or 38.8 percent of their starting weight. They were followed by Matt Spreitzer and Dathan Black from the Fire Department who lost 45.6 pounds (19.0%) and Tyson’s Titans, Tara and Charles Tyson, who lost 18.4 pound (9.9%).

SpringFest to be one-day Festival

All together, the 48 individuals who completed the three-month contest lost 484 pounds. Biggest Losers opened New Year’s Day and ended the first week in April. Bentz, who lost 102.2 pounds, Castro, Spreitzer, Black, the Tysons and Yolanda Massey (36 pounds, 16.5%), Blair Bogle (23.8 pounds, 15.9%) and Pamela Ferguson (28.6 pounds, 12.5%) each received GPS Running Watches. Massey, Bogle and Ferguson were the top three individuals not a member of a Top Three team.

Humphreys 3-for-3 in All-Army selectees All three members of the Lady Dawgs Basketball team nominated for the All-Army Tryouts have been selected for the final team. 2LT Jennifer Baker, HSC 602nd ASB; Spec Jerri Taylor, E Co, 4/2 AVN & Spec Amber West, 106th Medical Detachment are the honorees. The SpringFest Festival will be held on Saturday, May 28. The Festival had originally been planned for May 28-29. Family Readiness Groups, Units and Private Organizations can operate a fund-raising food or game booth.
